Our weaker bench will test your theory and I'm not convinced personally. But you never no. If we stay injury free from here on in we'll be fine. If we don't.......
Lee has had plently of chances in the cup and for the U21's and has failed to make to much of an impression so it is not a stupid thought to say that he is not PL quality, like many other players looks like his injury has affected him
We have Lallana and Fonte to come back and a new manager who may get more from what we have. I would have liked a little more depth but its no disaster. No time for people to gel or settle in, whereas the others will have some of that. The bench has looked a little weak but add Adam and Jose back into squad and not so bad. Remember also that only three players can come on each game anyway. The way I look at this, three months ago we were desperate for two CBs; one month ago we needed one CB; we got that and the other wants, would have been "nice to haves". Squad is ok. "If" we get injuries, is the same for everyone. "If" RVP gets injured, United have had it...?
Sounds like Newcastle have terminated Xisco's contract. What a waste of £6m that was. He should go back to Deportivo for the fourth time. He was good there and they could use him.
This. People seem to think that every team in the league has 2 or more players for every position on the pitch who are both of equally high quality.
Alan Nixon on Twitter: The worrying thing about the 'fans' who pester Sky presenters is that they have the vote. #timetoemigrate He's got a point.
Posh owner MacAnthony on SSN in a mo.... Should be fun after the way the Boyd deal was pulled, and now he will lose him for free in the summer. Also, because Jordan told him to grow up and stop mouthing off in public. FROM SIMON JORDAN!!
Gotta agree with this: 2245: GET INVOLVED Sinéad in Cardiff, via text: "I think this has been the transfer window where the global financial crisis has caught up with the world of football. Less big money moves and more attempts to keep wage bills down.
Think we are cutting it close and really wanted a signing. Other teams will have improved during the window so can't count on a squad that looked good enough to stay up in January is still good enough in February. But the cliche is probably true that Boruc is like a new signing. Plus Vorren. So the weakest areas of the squad have been addressed. Ponchettino is like a transfer with big potential to change our results (for better or worse).
