David Meyler

Splendid. I hope he turns out to be the Evans/McKenna/Oli hybrid we need.

I've always liked Meyler, excellent attitude as well as a talented player but unfortunately injuries have halted his progress hopefully he can get back on track under Brucie.

He's quite a combative midfielder, and loves a challenge. Doesn't offer loads going forward though.

We don't need him to be a playmaker, but is he the type who just plays simple balls because he isn't a creative type, or does he give it away all the time?

As long as he can break up the play and pick out the simple passes he will fit in great! Just a shame Evans has had his best two games in city shirt

His distribution is good, I think he will excel at this level.

Doesn't mean he will automatically come in for Evans. SB has already shown that he sticks with players who are doing well, no matter who is on the bench.
