Interesting, I think this leaves the path clear for us to make a move for Rose. Lets face it we might as well get a bid in what the worst that can happen?
 
hopefully we can put aside our disappointment at not landing any of our left back targets by landing the one we wanted from the start. if the spuds are signing a left back i think we will be nailed on to sign danny. he's a northen lad anyway and loved his time up here. must put us in pole position

Window is still open. There's a chance the deal has already been agreed and we're waiting on Spurs bringing someone in. ktf

I would love to see Danny Rose back here, I also hope Colback signs a new contract.

I try to get behind anyone pulling the shirt on, Colback has the shirt at the moment so he gets my support.

Hes got everyone's support mate but we want a left-back! And quite frankly we deserve one
 
Rumours knocking round that Spurs agreed fee for the left back Contreau!!?? (crap spelling) Maybe just maybe...........
 
as much as I'd like the lad to sign i think we all know he isn't. a quality player and quite honestly too good for us at the moment, guaranteed first team at spurs, why would he leave?

i for one am looking on the bright side: at least i don't have to endure that god awful excuse for a football chant any more.

Jan Vertonghen (plays there ahead of Danny)

and they're actively looking for a First Choice LB

As soon as they get their man then its bye bye Danny rose and Benoît Assou-Ekotto imo.

i thought avb had said rose would be first choice? i was mistaken.

also, from a fans perspective, my spud supporting mate thinks the same; ba-e out, verthongen at cb, fryers as 2nd choice anchor mf, chadli likely to get nod on left wing, bale staying central. could be rose competing with chadli for starting spot if not playing lb? he is better on the wing.

still, hope somehow it happens. will probably take an exorbitant fee tho. levy likes to get more than his monies worth.

Interesting that Loris Benito has gone elsewhere. Was definitely on Sunderland's left back list. Suggests some progress on another target.
