If he doesn't come, and we don't land Rose I wouldn't be overly miffed if PdC gave Colback the opportunity to make that position his. When he played there last season he was rock solid. He's tidy with the ball following the tackle, and doesn't pick up injuries readily. He doesn't offer the hustle that Rose does, but I suspect that PdC can work with him on that aspect of his game - as for me it's confidence he lacks, not ability.

Rose would be the cherry on the great cake that this summer has been. You know, we are likely to have another big one lined up as well, given the TV money, that we don't have a clue about. Giaccherini is a sit up and look signing, and will make the next high ranking International much more inclined to join.
Ridiculous mate. I've watched the lad since Palermo, and he genuinely is superb, but not near that level. I think he was the fastest player ever to 100 goals in Serie A or some ****, but Serie A is the weakest it's been for decades. If Ibra stays that is a ****ing frightening strike force.
