Thought he was class as a youngster at Ipswich. He scored a great goal against us in the 5-2 hammering at the KC in 2007. Seems to have gone off the boil a bit more recently.

Not for me. Young and plenty of potential, but his scoring record is sub-standard.

Only joined Barnsley in January and he wasn't even their best player. Not sure what variety he'd add to what we've got to be honest

He'd certainly add pace up front which we don't have, but I'm not sure we need it. Fryatt has a knack of getting into those positions without pace. However, if we did sign him then surely we wouldn't be getting a target man as well? 5 Strikers?

Paving the way for a McLean exit perhaps? Or am I wishfully thinking?

Stewart and Garcia to come back as well who could give us options up top. You can never have too many strikers though.

It's yet another one of those situations that's just been left on a cliff-hanger and as far as I'm aware, no formal announcement has been made.

He's not going to be fit until December at the earliest!!!

Haynes can play on the wing as well and his scoring record is just over 1 in 3, I think

BBC reported a couple of weeks ago that we withdrew the new contract offer, but we were willing to wait to see if Garc could prove his fitness for the new year. NP is a big fan of him, so I expect the club to offer Garcia a new deal if he gets back from injury on time

As far as I know, he's staying under contract with the club until the new year.

I could be wrong, it's not as though I have any 'inside' info. You'll have to ask a more reliable source on here for increased accuracy with these stories...

If we can get him for a decent price then yes, seven goals for an averageish team is reasonable, surely he could up it to 12 or so for a (hopefully) promotion chasing side?

I doubt we'll see Garcia again, we were only offering him year and he's going o be missing for half of it.

I feel for Garcia, NP said he made himself available when injured when other players would cry off.. but ultimately it's cost him.
