the good thing is I really believe in players reviving careers and therefore I see the appeal in getting a player that comes off a bad spell at a club because he will
be extra motivated and pretty much can't do
worse than his spell at Sunderland. Also happy with a loan to see how he does with a buy option.

Actually not too upset about this think he could be good
for us. Good stuff Bruce. Bruce is so shrewd with the transfer market it's so impressive.

Im no photoshop expert but it looks dodgy even to me.

Anyway, as I said Ive come round to this. He's a far better option than Austin with EPL pedigree and on loan we literally have nothing to lose. The worst that could happen is he plays an absolute blinder and keeps us up and then someone else nicks him. And in terms of a worst case scenario, that's ****ing brilliant!

Edit - actually he could break his leg on day 1 and we be stuck with his wages for a year and no striker. On reflection that would be worse.

Its from Sky Sports News :)

I for one am pleased that the Graham deal seems to be all but completed. He's a proven goalscorer at this level, and he always looked impressive when at Swansea and Watford. Another shrewd piece of business.

Can I just remind people that a lot of Sunderland fans didn't rate Elmo or Meyler either!

It wont be long before they have the same opinion over PDiC summer transfer business either. Mackems never have been great judges over talent. :emoticon-0116-evilg

Can't see why people are complaining about Graham. For a club of our stature in the top flight he's exactly what we need.

Correct and spot on. Grahams 14 goals in 2011/12 PL season help keep Swansea in the PL for 2012/13. The same again for Hull City in 2013/14 on TBUB deal is mega business for us. Keeps the transfer kitty well up for a top draw striker signing soon. ;)

Apart from Liverpool and Arsenal he could only score against the **** teams. Because he's ****.

So what what ? Utter rubbish ^^^^ this. Whoosh.
I would prefer Graham to score his goals against the bottom 12 teams actually. :emoticon-0103-cool:

I think he would be a great signing..

On a season long loan / TBUB is fantastic business by the club and Steve Bruce. Vast improvement on both Austin and Hooper actually as Graham is a PL proven goal scorer already. <nahnah>

Yes. He has been spotted at the KC already. :emoticon-0103-cool:

so who we buying as a striker for this season?
hes obv **** and a back up player.

Classic wum-ming again. Whoosh whoosh whoosh.

I think out of our team, the ones most likely to make the step up and stay there should we come down are Brady, Aluko and Chester. They are by far the best of the current team being promoted.

We have far more than that. This squad is already a 15th placed PL club now imo. I dont see anyone who wont be upto the PL of the ones SB will play. Streets better than the 2008 squad. <ok>

I think we'll sign a forward for a few million still. Who, however, is the question...

Yes i agree. It all points to be big bucks being kept for that Big Money Striker espeically if the midfielder is also a free transfer or season long loan. I wonder if the Hobbs loan has anything to do with the Graham loan ? Both being done at the same time. Coincidence maybe ? :cheesy:

Just a question, but why has he (Danny Graham) flown in to England (all the press reports) when City have flown out to Portugal? Or has Brucie stayed behind?
?

Part of the deal is that Danny Graham gets all the air miles on his account. Italy to England, England to Portugal and Portugal back to England. <whistle>
