yes if we was in the championship. his level.
his agent must be ****. sunderland have been trying to offload him since may. not seen him linked with even a championship club.did we have all our cards stacked on one player again(austin)?
ffs weve been here before.hes ****.

Actually, several clubs have enquired, an issue is Danny signed for us as he wanted to be closer to his family in the North East.

As such, only you, the horse haters, Boro or Leeds are realistic, and Boro wanted him but couldn't raise £3million and his wages.

He's just flown home alone, so it's happening tomorrow, whatever 'it' is.

We'd not take him out of pre season for a possibility, it's gotta be a probability.

Who in ****ting crikey are the horse haters?

Funny old thread this.

Graham scored bagfuls for Carlisle and Watford, went to Swansea and did better than 1 in 3.

He signed for us under a pathetic, defensive manager from an attacking, pure footballing team, and had the fans on his back from day 1 for comments made years ago.

By the time Di Canio came in, his confidence was **** to bits and he was never gonna dig it out.

He didn't suddenly become ****, he's a very decent player who made the wrong move at the wrong time, for a newly promoted club he'd be a smashing signing.

The way you played last season suits Danny, you missed an incredible amount of chances, Danny converts about 1 in 3 (pre-Sunderland).

He'd be very good for you, I have no doubt.

For Sunderland he never remotely looked like a Premiership player. His one in three conversion is , I presume, mainly based outside the Premiership. It wasn't lack of confidence, it was lack of pace (or if you're lucky lack of fitness) and lack of ability. He may turn out to suit Hull or any other team he ends up at but for Sunderland he was as poor as I can think of recently in the Premiership. Equally Hull fans could say the same about Altidore. The problem with Graham is that, at 27, he's unlikely to improve. You can only say it as you see it and Graham was dreadful for us. As I said before Meyler was excellent for us and Elmo a bit in and out.

Regardless of my opinion I'd wish him well if he went to Hull as the Mag roots that some spout about is well overplayed.

Suspect Newcastle - after the guy trying to punch the police horse and the poster being a Sunderland fan...

Hercule Poirot

Well they wouldn't want him, surely? No disrespect to him or us but if they did want him he'd be going there and they've got much better players already.

This has just appeared on the Sky Sports website:

Sky Sports sources understand that Danny Graham has left Sunderland's pre-season training camp.

The 27-year-old striker is not believed to be injured, but his time in Italy with the rest of the Black Cats squad has been cut short.

Graham has been strongly linked with a move away from the club, and Hull City boss Steve Bruce has confirmed his interest in the player in recent days.

Graham is not believed to feature highly in the plans of Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio, who has already bolstered his striking options this summer with the signing of Jozy Altidore.

Graham joined Sunderland from Swansea in January when they paid £5million for his services, but in 11 league games he is yet to score for the club.

Bruce admitted earlier on Tuesday Graham is a "very good player" and is reported to be keen on a season-long loan deal.

"There's lots and lots of players and it's always wrong for me to talk about them, but Graham is someone where there's been a bit of interest," he told the Hull Daily Mail.

"He hasn't had the best of times in the north-east but he's a very, very good player. Whether it's possible, who knows? It's something that we're looking at but we haven't done anything just yet."

Also, Dazed, be quiet - stop making **** up.

name them and link your sources.....

Name who and link what sources??

I never suggested that the 4 clubs all wanted him, I suggested based on DG wanting to be close to the North East there were only 4 options for him.

Mags don't want him.
Leeds can't afford him or want him.
Boro announced his signing BEFORE he signed for us (****ing idiots...)
Hull will sign him.

I do have a very close friend on the coaching staff at SAFC, but I haven't suggested to have info on this deal.

Sorry but that's ridiculous. No poster on here itk before it hits the media ever 'link a source'. If he could link a source we wouldn't need him to cos we'd have already read it.
bollocks ive read cardiff were in for him in may and that was in the star.hes stated there was another 6 clubs in for him. who?
i could say any 6 clubs.****ing prove me wrong.who the **** was we bidding against.
no one.
****ing panic signing.

What do you personally think of him, I know a lot of SAFC fans think he's shocking. But you seem a little more level headed about the situation. Should he be given another crack for you, or is best you just cut your losses?

Who said 6 clubs? I said 'several enquiries'.

'Several' by definition, is more than 2, Boro, Cardiff & Hull is 3, therefore 'several'. Brainiac.

A lot of the flak is unfair, we didn't want him, myself included, it was a wrong move, we needed pace and we had doubts as he is a die-hard Mag.

He looked sharp at first, indeed, he nearly scored with his first touch in the shirt, and that could have changed everything, as the team laboured badly, he had little supply, and his head dropped, the crowd absolutely battered him, too much for me, I never, ever boo at the match (I'll slate the ****s on here, but not at the match), and by the time Di Canio revived the team he was shot to bits.

He'll never be accepted by the majority at SAFC, fairly or unfairly, and as such a move is his best option.

He IS a proven Premier league player, he scored 20 in about 60 for Swans in the big league, that's not bad, considering as well that many of his games for Swans were off the bench.
