Have you and loading been to many games this season?

You’re making out like the fans have been abusing him non-stop. That’s not the case at all. In general our support has been pretty positive again despite us being generally terrible.
I’m sure he’ll be fine.

I agree with support being positive but I do not agree we have been terrible every game. The performance against Boro was excellent and showed the progress being made. Fans have been patient with Downs but they are also savvy enough to realise he is not as good as Mara.

I wouldn’t boo a saints player, but no doubt he is the worst player I’ve ever seen play for us.

Totally agree. The problem is that a lot of our fans are turning us into West Ham 2.0
Downs is a 21 year old kid ffs.
Did Archer get booed after missing a one on one tonight? No

There are levels though.

Archer looks like a footballer. A bad one, but still a footballer.

Downs looks like someone has jumped on the pitch from the crowd

What I find crazy is SR sold Tall Paul ( who is currently the leading goalscorer in the Turkish Super Lig with 7 goals in 9 appearances for 6M ) to replace him with a huge gamble on Damion Downs for 7M who looks like he turns out for Sholing reserves!
Yes I know Tall Paul wasn't a great footballer in the Prem but my golly he's better that what we have replaced him with!

I'd just like to add that I think CA looks half a yard slower than AA and Scienza and slower of thought, DD is another drop down again with pace & football intelligence
- the poor lad looks completely lost out there. Very poor acquisition.
 
I know they're very different players, but Aribo and Edozie have both shown that they can contribute, and even occasionally score, in this league. At the moment it feels like Downs is taking a place on the bench which we'd be better off giving to one of those two.

Far from ideal to not have an out-and-out striker on the bench, but we are where we are.

Suspect there's a wider story around Aribo and Edozie that we're not aware of.
