Australia will be delighted. This looks like a 500 wicket for a team batting first in these conditions.
 
Not sure I would've declared. I can understand the timing but I would maybe just keep batting while the bowlers were knackered and Root was throwing the bat. Hope it doesn't bite Stokes on the backside

I dont agree with it. It's like hes constantly pushing the boundaries with his new style. At least get over 400 for the psychological advantage.

So many times in the last 12 months I've questioned Stokes' decisions. Every time he proved me wrong

Totally agree...and this is why watching England play is from behind the couch. You never know what's about to happen but **** me it keeps you entertained.

I watched most of the day and my heart was in my mouth every single ball fearing the loss of a wicket.
The last time I felt that way in sport was watching Alex Higgins as I always thought he was going to miss. Hard to explain lol

Looked a better of a pitch to bat on mind. Think we're short by a bit and I'm not sure they gad to work hard enough for two or three of the wickets. But that's our game for good or bad.

Could be a long day for a three and a half man seam attack!

Bit of rain about and cloud cover. Could be an interesting morning session if Jimmy can get that ball moving - the Aussies can't play the moving ball
