Brilliant stuff from Crawley.
I just don't think there's enough leeway to win this in 3 days.
Australia getting just over 300 means we'll need to only bat once and get a lead of at least 275.
That means another 300 at least today.
Won't happen.
We'll need some time over the weekend.
Fantastic stuff this though.

Let's try not to get ahead of ourselves!

I'm not. The way we've played since lunch makes an England win very possible, albeit we're unlikely to get it done in three days. So long as days 4 and 5 are not complete washouts, we've got a real chance here.

Cummins has lost the plot here. Why is Head bowling?
I think Starc is knackered somehow, Cummins himself looks exhausted, Hazelwood has bowled poorly today and Marsh hardly setting the world on fire either. But bowling Head is almost throwing your hands up in the air and saying ‘I give up’. Is Green injured? I don’t think he’s very good - yet, plenty of time for him to improve.

Quite brilliant session for England. Above 7 an over and at no stage did it feel reckless.

Latest weather update has some rain at Old Trafford yomorriw aswell now ffs. Weather is gonna save them isn't it ? Saturday looks awful and Sunday persistent showers all day.

It's gotta be said, the Aussies look broken and dispirited here ! Brilliant stuff from England this, please don't let the rain come and save them ffs.

Wouldn't that just be typical.
We're completely out playing Australia here.
Expect the risk taking to rise after tea, as we simply have to go for it.
A decent 5 day forecast and we'd be huge favourites.
Washout Saturday, but a chance for Sunday. Fingers crossed.

Yeah without the weather we'd be about 1/4 now. Destroyed them that session and Aussies looked a beaten team. If we get 200 ahead we'll declare or maybe even before. Only the rain can stop it going 2-2 surely
