Been painting back garden wall all morning so just catching up......... First part of the job done quiet efficiently and Moen and Crawley tipping along at around 4 an over..........keep at that rate and could be around 330 - 350 at stumps....... But I think the Aussies need to be batting again by the close so could be some fireworks this afternoon, get a lead of 80 - 100 and put them back in for half hour....... moves the game on.....
Umpire Joel, what a ****ing tool. Prick has to be the worst umpire in tge world. How can he be umpiring in a game of this magnitude. Disgrace
Platform nicely set for the afternoon session......... good to only lose the 1 wicket before lunch......
Looking at the current forecast for Manchester, tomorrow is sunshine/showers until 2pm, then dry for rest of the day. Saturday is a washout and Sunday isn't much better with sunshine/showers all day.......... Need to make this a 3 day test.....
If the weather is really going to be as bad as they say, the draw must be the bet. You can still get 7/4.
I want the weather bad up there to rule out the golfers who can’t handle wind and rain. Baz will find a way to win, or lose, in whatever time is available. 50 for Crawley, the weak link pre series who has done really well, 100 partnership, Cummins regretting not picking a spinner as Head having to stand in. Good stuff England. Well over 4 an over, yet I keep thinking ‘they’ll speed up soon’. The paradigm is well and truly shifted. Brilliant.
50 for Moeen now. For a man who had given up red ball cricket years ago he’s has done superbly and his attitude has been exemplary - ‘need me to bat at 3? No problem’. Hats off.
