Surely the ICC can intervene where pitches are deliberately made so a result apart from a draw are nigh on impossible. The Windies are getting points for drawing each game and moving up the World Test Championship table. I appreciate that the home team wherever you play will want pitches that will help them but this is a deliberate attempt at creating pitches where its almost impossible to win on (especially with our bowling lineup ).

It's a farcical table anyway Kiwi, you get more points for winning a 2 test series than you do the Ashes. Just feel sides shouldn't be allowed to get away with producing wickets where its almost impossible to win on just so they don't lose a series.

The pitch report suggests that there'll be plenty for the seamers early on and that there are cracks which could open up later in the game.
 
Pathetic dismissal for Crawley, out playing a big booming cover drive again. When will he learn that that shot is a get out shot ? Clueless. Now Root gone for a duck to the seamer they brought in, another poor shot. 30-2, maybe we should've hoped for another of the dead wicket pitches !

Did Root really need to play at it ? Lawrence out for 8 aswell now. 46-3 at lunch, Lees 26 not out. At least he looks like an opening batsman, albeit in the Boycott mould . Shame none of the other top 4 could stay with him to grind down the bowlers and allow Stokes and Bairstow to play their shots. Alot more life in this wicket than the previous 2. A good toss to have won by the look of it
 
Absolutely pathetic performance, as soon as the wicket does anything we look like losing a wicket every ball. There have been some decent deliveries but some of the dismissals have been abysmal.

I see Collingwood has said he'd like the job on a full time basis ! Why we haven't already appointed Langer is beyond me unless he's asking for extortionate money
 
Fair play to Leach and Mahmood for adding some tail end runs, but 126 doesn't really get you in the game, what England need is 4 or 5 WIndies wickets for 40 odd runs before close of play........
