Haven't read all the comments, but it's more likely corrupted by players. The people they mix with and spreadbetting. The officials are less easy to 'get to' and somewhat less important. They don't have the lifestyle or frequent the places players and agents do.

Players are undoubtedly corrupt. Several have talked openly about direct on pitch activity in relation to spread betting, but it doesn't get mentioned much. Cos it happened here.

I was expecting aliens, ghosts, twin towers self harming & non-existent moon landings.

Disappointed to say the least.

Where's Sterling when you need him to inform us of aliens hanging around near road signs where nobody else would ever be - except the person taking the photo, obvs - or ghosts that only started appearing from dead people since the Victorian age, ergo the lack of cavemen or dinosaur ghosts?

I thought I'd bump this up, as there must be a few theories floating about, what with people going stir crazy with time to kill.

My favourites are those relating to biological warfare.

Who'd invent a weapon that mainly killed the elderly and infirm, and left those of fighting age running about. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Good job such a virulent virus as covid 19 is gradually rolling out across the world as opposed to hitting all countries all at once. Just watching how it's now arrived in Japan.

Do you think they'll make it cheaper and more efficient?

Ah old joke,
At an international engineers meeting a number of delegates were given two ball bearings and told to come back after a week and present their findings.
First up were the Germans who offered two new improved bearings that were of a much better quality but more expensive.
The Chinese presented their cheap and cheerful copies although everyone could see that they wouldn't last long.
The Irish engineers were sitting quiet and looking sheepish as their turn on the podium came round, well you see it's like this, one of the bearings we lost and the other we broke.
