We need a better 2nd choice keeper IMO.
Foster is SPL level, he's never going to be PL level. For such a big bloke he's very uncomfortable in the air, and crumbles under pressure.
Elliot is definitely not PL level for me. I've seen him play a few times and in training he looks like a good shot stopper but sloppy in the air and not the best positionally.
Gordon is a great keeper.
He could be useful in a Europa League campaign, especially since Krul has been getting these little back problems recently.
And we can't play Krul every game. I know it's a bit different for a keeper in terms of physical performances, but mentally it can be very draining, and at his age I think it would be hard on Krul to potentially ask him to play 50+ games in a season.
We don't need our best players in every game, but we should field a strong team, and Gordon would be a great 2nd choice. He would get some game time.
