He said he's open to any offer, and sounds like he wants to stay in the top tier of English football.

He's a cracking keeper, would you sign him as 2nd choice?

We need a better 2nd choice keeper IMO.

Foster is SPL level, he's never going to be PL level. For such a big bloke he's very uncomfortable in the air, and crumbles under pressure.

Elliot is definitely not PL level for me. I've seen him play a few times and in training he looks like a good shot stopper but sloppy in the air and not the best positionally.

Gordon is a great keeper.

He could be useful in a Europa League campaign, especially since Krul has been getting these little back problems recently.

And we can't play Krul every game. I know it's a bit different for a keeper in terms of physical performances, but mentally it can be very draining, and at his age I think it would be hard on Krul to potentially ask him to play 50+ games in a season.

We don't need our best players in every game, but we should field a strong team, and Gordon would be a great 2nd choice. He would get some game time.

He might be better than Elliot but I wouldn't say he was great. We've got Elliot till 2016 too, and probably paying him a lot less than Gordon would want.

Foster is a better goalkeeper than Krul , I also noticed Ruddy got third choice in the England squad and you want Gordon as your back up goalie . Maybe spl level is better than you thought it was even Krul found his level there !!'

I think he'd be a cracking signing for any pl team really but I can't see him wanting to sit on the bench. He will want first team football.

I'm gutted we are not offering him a new deal because when fit he is top class.

I think it's likely he will end up at Celtic, he is a great keeper, potentially Shay Given good before his injuries, but it looks like he's long term crocked, which is actusu a shame.

Forster is not a premier league keeper. He has the agility of a rock and is worse at coming out than Tom Cruise.

Won't sit on the bench so its a complete non starter. Good keeper though and great free transfer for someone.
