There are some really shallow people out there. Personally, I think girls are just as shallow as boys. It's a coincidence that all these WAGs have as good a personality as their looks...

 

There's a show on at the moment called First Dates, some of the people on there are baffling.

 

Sorry, that probably sounds overly harsh. What I'm trying to say is that if there's a pattern it's time to have a look at your own behaviour in certain situations. I'm making some quite lurid presumptions here PL, but I get the impression that you may well be the type of chap who, once a connection has been made, will then text/facebook a little too much, leaving the recipient feeling smothered. In that instance, you've lost basically, and what tends to happen is that the recipient takes the easy way out and goes 'cold' on you.

 

This is in a biography...people are often asked to spice up rather dull books by adding something contentious or sordid. Unprovable...though sadly there may be some truth in it. Who was captain during this period?

 

Also may have several 'on the go' and one has been selected. LeTiss may have a point though....difficult to judge the fine line between appearing interested and being over eager. A minefield.

I used to be like that when I was younger. After one not so good experience with a girl, I now actively make sure I don't text or facebook too much and I usually wait a bit before replying to a message.

Indeed. But I've seen a profile photo of her, and she's since sent me others via snapchat (a phone app) and if it is actually her, then she's attractive. Problem is, the photos might not be her. My sister is winding me up about her being a catfish. The only way to find out is by going on a date. Scary!

ha yeah, I've been watching that. Having never been on a date, I'm sure I'd still be much better at it then half the people on that show. I've certainly not been taking too many tips from it!!

 

Met Mrs Pie online. I was in the middle of my pilot training. Hectically(is that a word?) busy, so I gave it a go. Took a while, but it worked.

That programme makes me laugh so much...

I never got that attached prior to meeting anyone except with one girl, but then she apparently got attached to me too and we spoke loads on the phone and stuff (though I can't remember if that was before or after she basically said she had feelings for me).

Though online dating isn't all that bad. I met one American girl on it, she's really nice and a very sweet girl. You know the girl described in the first verse of the song Free Fallin' by Tom Petty? That could be describing her (although I'm not sure if she likes Elvis). We've been speaking for over a year now. She has a boyfriend and nothing will happen, but I do appreciate her as a friend and I'm glad she messaged me (though at the time she said it was a shame about the distance as I sounded cool).

What's with the sudden Pompey Ladies interest?

 

They're in this week's prediction league game.

 

It's in our prediction comp. I put Pompey to win (based on you bigging them up...so hope you aren't letting me down).

 

We're in excellent form, we've won 6 in a row and only conceded one goal in 2014 but Spurs beat us at Fratton Park, despite us battering them for 45 minutes. Think the occasion got to some of our players (understandably). So hopefully we'll win. If we do, we'll go into second in the league, 3 points behind cardiff.

Must say, that's a random fixture to include in your prediction competition.
