That's a good human deed in my book, I find it sad that people see it any other way. Especially as I assumed they (the charity) paid for their own flight. Ok, I curious to how you know those children were not in a priority group, can you then please tell me the priority status of evey single one of those children?

My reference is they are children and animals, rescued by a charity on their own flight, I'm not seeing the problem. Especially as you say, 'I assume' you don't actually know the status of everyone of those children.

I'd even go as far as saying, should we look back on every evacuee, especially those that are adult males, and went ahead of the children and women left behind. Women that now under the Taliban are not allowed to work, and are selling their children.

Hard decisions are made all the time, I would never ever believe as a male even if my passport allowed me to, that I should go ahead of a child.
 
I think we are just going to go round in circles with this, because I refuse to change my stance on the moral dilemma here. The more important issue for me is that Biden abandoned them all, regardless of who initiated the withdrawel.

Humantarian crisis for something like 38 million people, but it's ok Bobby we've got the Ukraine borders covered, you really couldn't make this shhite up sometimes. I know we couldn't take the Taliban on our own, but instead we all choose to club together, including the Americans to fight with Putin, madness, total madness.

we aren't going to fight Putin we (Nato) has already made that clear but we are going to issue a strongly worded communique deploring Russian incursions and drop a few sanctions on Russia / Russian individuals as long as they don't cost us any dosh .

I don't actually believe we've even got the balls to take on Putin's military might anyway. My point was fook the people that are starving and selling their kidneys in Afghanistan, the Ukraine is more important, that's how it seems to me anyway.

As I spoke with @Archers Road the other day, the Ukraine use to be part of the USSR, until Gorbachev fooked up, we only have one interest in Ukraine and it is nothing to do with people.

well in geopolitics terms it is to Europe / NATO since it is our neighbour and the Ukraine was part of the USSR against their will to the extent that they happily welcomed the German invasion in 41 .

The dangerous "push" east best by EU and Nato exemplified best by the siting of an ABM system in Poland years ago ,ostensibly for use against Iranian aggression , was in my view always a ref rag to a bull but if Ukraine starts getting carved up by Russia the Baltic states are next particularly as they have large Russian minorities which is a traditional excuse for invasions .

In the meantime mate, 38 million people are going to starve to death. Adults and kids selling their kidneys for food, the financial system has all but been locked down, so it means even charities can't withdraw cash. So even if they can get them to transfer money to Kabul or wherever, they can't draw it out.
