Flu is influenza virus (various mutations)

Covid-19 is a coronavirus like SARS and MERS and I think 6 other types that present symptoms very much like the common cold in humans. Most people on the planet will catch at least one coronavirus in their lifetime without knowing its a coronavirus. Its widely considered that covid-19 will eventually settle down in to a milder infection much like the others that circulate in humans.

Other types of virus causing common colds symptoms are Rhinovirus, RSV and Parainfluenza.

The astrazeneca vaccine used a adenovirus which only infects chimpanzees. Adenovirus' can cause severe symptoms in humans including lung problems, pneumonia and conjunctivitis. It's a serious virus. The reason it was used? Simply that humans had no existing immunity to this particular strain so the vaccine would be the first infection which promotes a better response.

I know... I'm a boring ****.
Skipped to the bottom, ya boring **** <whistle>

Just had flu jab.
Funnily enough flu is a coronavirus.

can feel my DNA changing. How long before the spider sense kicks in.
sorry, no spider sense, but everything you eat from now on will have to be kosher.
And you have win11 installed in your brain and be forced to pay extra for the bug free version and security features, otherwise you risk your brain either melting, or being stolen by russian hackers.

According to the study, which ran from September 2020 to September 2021 and included 440 households in London and Bolton doing PCR Covid tests:

  • People who are double jabbed have a lower, but still appreciable, risk of becoming infected with the Delta variant compared with unvaccinated people
  • They also appear to be just as infectious
  • Vaccinated people clear the infection more quickly, but their peak viral load - when people are most infectious - is similar to that seen in unvaccinated people
  • This may explain why they can still readily pass on the virus in household settings

Sounds like a good argument for getting vaccinated.

It does seem from the data though that these vaccines are not as effective in protecting against getting the virus as the original studies suggested, but are effective in clearing the infection and reducing the effect of the illness.

Can see why the government are pushing to get as many people vaccinated as possible as it will continue circulating until every one is done.

Brilliant way to highlight the positives of the vaccine from Aber!

Finally coming round to the vaccine, because without the vaccine pass-port will be a permanent thing in wales for the anti vaxx sheeple

Anyone know if Greta Thunberg got an invite to COP26 or if she is present in the main room where all the leaders are gathered. Not sure if she would agree to going along, and some might think she's not a selected world leader - but just think if we are going to get serious about this rather than blah, blah, blah it would have been a nice gesture as a very influential young woman.
