- People who are double jabbed have a lower, but still appreciable, risk of becoming infected with the Delta variant compared with unvaccinated people
- They also appear to be just as infectious
- Vaccinated people clear the infection more quickly, but their peak viral load - when people are most infectious - is similar to that seen in unvaccinated people
- This may explain why they can still readily pass on the virus in household settings
Sounds like a good argument for getting vaccinated.
It does seem from the data though that these vaccines are not as effective in protecting against getting the virus as the original studies suggested, but are effective in clearing the infection and reducing the effect of the illness.
Can see why the government are pushing to get as many people vaccinated as possible as it will continue circulating until every one is done.
Can't tell whether that's sarcasm or you really agree with me. I will assume the former unless advised otherwise.

Anyone know if Greta Thunberg got an invite to COP26 or if she is present in the main room where all the leaders are gathered. Not sure if she would agree to going along, and some might think she's not a selected world leader - but just think if we are going to get serious about this rather than blah, blah, blah it would have been a nice gesture as a very influential young woman.
