If Boris already had it...can he get it again?

I thought you became immune to it

He has to isolate because he’s been in close contact with someone who has it. Them’s the rules, apparently. Don’t think he’s actually got it, but it does seem to be circling around him a bit. If I was him, I’d be taking it all a bit personally by now.

So why do Scotland and Wales, get regular independent updates, but not England?

I know Boris does the ocassional update, but surely that's for the UK.

That's the one that I think we have ordered 5 million doses of but won't be ready until the Spring.

Be interesting to see if different vaccines are used for different groups.

Still early days though. Don't think we'll really know about how effective it will be until Spring.

There's a piece on SKY News including some professor and a doctor, and a lot of it at the moment is unknowns. Ie if it protects you, then the vulnerable, but how long will it protect you for ie it might only be 6 months. If it stops the spread, do you treat young adults instead, so two sides of the coin. Also some of these early vaccines, might not be as good as some that are still to come along, due to how the genetic materials are scientifically made. I understood what they were saying, but trying to put it into words is another thing.

When people who've been vaccinated in winter start losing their teeth and growing tits they never had before?

Apparently we have preordered

  • 100 million doses of University of Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine – phase 3 clinical trials
  • 40 million doses of BioNTech/Pfizer vaccine – phase 3 clinical trials
  • 60 million doses of Novavax vaccine – phase 3 clinical trials
  • 60 million doses of Valneva vaccine – pre-clinical trials
  • 60 million doses of GSK/Sanofi Pasteur vaccine – phase 1 clinical trials
  • 30 million doses of Janssen vaccine – phase 2 clinical trials
And now just panic bought 5m doses of Moderna before the transfer window closes.
