Marstons announce 2,150 redundancies as the furlough scheme ends on the 31st October, these will be ones of many.
So how have some countries virtually eliminated it?

I expect most of them will walk into new jobs - they have a very good Pedigree.Marstons announce 2,150 redundancies as the furlough scheme ends on the 31st October, these will be ones of many.
Not a good time to be newly thrown on the jobs market either. Hopefully most of those people will have been looking for new opportunities long before this month.

that was for a circuit breaker short term lockdown as recommended by Sage 3 weeks ago though probably too late now .The Labour party would surely have their house in order and would be so much better at this.

Can't we just form solidarity for once that all MP's and political parties do not have anything in common with us? We've seen MP's from every major political party acting like the rules don't apply to them during this pandemic. They have all used this pandemic and people dying to further their political agenda's.
**** them all.
That tweet is utterly disingenuous though. As he actually said weeks and weeks and weeks, and was patently referring to the extended lockdown that we saw earlier in the year. The Labour party would surely have their house in order and would be so much better at this.

All Starmer has put forward is what the Govts own advisory group SAGE recommended weeks ago, which was the ‘circuit break’ 2 week lockdown that’d stop the exponential growth in infections.
He’s been accused of playing politics with the crisis for merely backing what the experts have told the Govt. Up until that point Starmer has backed the Govt on virtually every measure, he’s only really held their feet to the fire on the disastrous waste of public funds around the failed App and the track and trace system that was hived out to the private sector and has been an absolute dog’s knob.
It’s literally the job of an effective opposition to challenge the executive on matters of policy yet the minute they actually do they’re being accused of playing politics. The entire thing should have probably been steered by a cross party group from the off, but instead we’ve seen this Govt rely on an unelected bobble head who’s forte is 3 word slogans.
He’s assumed it’s a grammatical error, only look at him ffs. Looks like he’d take it where he could get it to me like. You must log in or register to see images
