Has to be just a matter of time before they do it.

Spain and Italy probably not as militant as Russia and China. I think I heard there wasn't a single new case of infection in China yesterday but that could be bollox. It is supposed to be reducing there though.

Even if countries do get it under control there is going to be a second wave. Apparently always happens. Lots to look forward to.

No cases in North Korea. Everyone who coughs gets shot just in case.

Just been looking through la repubblica which is an Italian newspaper, they have an addition for Milan, and they are reporting infections and deaths are down today, let's pray they are turning the corner finally!

A quick copy and paste from the Milan edition;

The slowdown of the trend in Lombardy where coronavirus deaths reached 3,456, with an increase in 36 hours in twenty-four hours (yesterday the jump had been 546 deaths), while the infected became 27,206 with an increase of 1,691 ( +3251 yesterday). There are 9,439 hospitalized, with an increase of 1,181, and 1,142 people hospitalized in intensive care. "The data today is a bit 'in chiaroscuro, but today it is clearer. We cannot sing victory, however, data must be seen over a wider period of time," said the Lombard Welfare Councilor, Giulio Gallera, during a video on Facebook to take stock of the emergency every day. "We want to continue resisting and giving everyone the chance to cure," he added. Contagions also decreased in the province of Bergamo and Brescia: in Bergamo there were a total of 6,216 positives, 347 more than yesterday (+715 the previous day. Brescia also slowed down: 5,317 the sick, 289 more (+380). " These are data that give us hope - says Gallera - but we have to wait on Tuesday to see if they will be confirmed and to talk about countertendency "

With China, there is far too much you have to entertain as true when you know it might well not be unfortunately. The individual human is just a worthless cog to the communist state

There are few countries I would suspect of secretly dumping lots of dead people into pits to give an impression they are in control, but China and Iran are two I wouldnt put it past

Also you're finally admitting that the forest is being cleared for cattle/cattle feed. Took a while...

So basically what you're trying to say is that a vegan diet requires food, and you think that humans will eat the equivalent amount of soya as cattle currently do + all the soya grown on the land previously occupied by cattle?

Seeing as 60-80% of the world's land suitable for crops is currently used by animal rearing, do you not think we can manage without? As per my previous question, how much ****ing soya do you think mankind would consume?
70% of the soya goes to livestock, 30% for humans, do you really believe 30% of the world population consume soya as their main meal?

And the Amazon deforestation, I said that if you switch from meat it will be just ****ed because the deforestation is caused by soya, and if they don't use it to feed cows they'll use it to feed humans and nothing will have changed (possibly worse, as humans don't process plant protein particularly well as we've evolved to eat meat, so we need to eat more to get the same). Your argument is to remove the cows and the soya and not replace it with anything at all, and then wonder why I think your a ******ed vegan who lives in fairyland and doesn't know what the **** he is talking about.

They’ve been going round for a week these rumours.

My mates wife’s brother works for the MOD at the foreign office, she rang him on Thursday and he said the plan is in place and it may happen last Friday or possibly Monday. I think we have another week. I often travel up and down the M5 , there is a massive army logistics centre at Tewkesbury and I have seen more army vehicles on the roads and never seen any prior to the last week. Though they’ve said the army will be helping deliver stuff to the vulnerable who have now been locked down for 12 weeks.

what I don’t understand is the death rate in Italy is still rising and they’ve been locked up for what 11 days now? Spain they’ve been locked up for 7 and the death rate still rising.

as others said infections rate doesn't equal death rate.

The other thing is that isn't it 14 days until infection? (well between 7and 14?). Doesn't that mean it should all be reducing after 14 days because 11 days ago they were still infecting each other and will start to be feeling it soon?
