BBC is massively pro-vegan, and any pro any other BS wokeist agenda driven crap, I thought their coverage of women's football would prove that.

The vast amount of Amazon was cleared for soya farming, the proof of that is it's by far Brazils biggest export, 25% more towards the GDP than the 2nd placed export. The sudden increase in soya farming caused so much deforestationof the Amazon that they put a moritorium on using deforested land. Of course there is always a way around the moritorium which is why, despite it being a 'success', soya farms have grown 260% since then, and that's because cows are the way around it, rather than the cause. They clear the land, stick cows on it, then move the cows to some more land they've cleared and say 'we didn't clear this land for soya' and then grow soya on it.
That is what is actually happening, regardless of what any agenda driven propaganda may tell you, yes it's mainly used as animal feed, but if the world stops eating meat and switches to soya why is that going to improve the situation?

So you think that all meat eaters will be eating Amazonian soya instead of meat? Do you understand how supply and demand works?

Also you're finally admitting that the forest is being cleared for cattle/cattle feed. Took a while...

So basically what you're trying to say is that a vegan diet requires food, and you think that humans will eat the equivalent amount of soya as cattle currently do + all the soya grown on the land previously occupied by cattle?

Seeing as 60-80% of the world's land suitable for crops is currently used by animal rearing, do you not think we can manage without? As per my previous question, how much ****ing soya do you think mankind would consume?

You've got a few mixed messages mate.

I wont say more because it's got **** all to do with coronavirus and I don't want to derail the thread.

It was about the people in parks and open outdoor public spaces.
Yeah which is fine, but he’s not banning tube or bus travel or forcing people to stay at home. So where’s the consistency?

Don’t go and see yer Ma on Mother’s Day

But getting on the tube tomorrow morning is sound.

****ing ridiculous

Only those who can’t work from home and who don’t drive should be using public transport anyway. Sadiq has been banging that drum over the last couple of days.

Why would all the replacement for beef be soya?

That was his reasoning. The Amazon is being cut down for soya, and if everyone went vegan then they would continue to do it for more soya.

Looking forward to understanding the next completely rational step in Ern's logic <ok>
