well, that's really a matter of perspective, it could quite easily be argued that the people stopping Covid running it's course and, by natural selection, cull the old, sick and susceptible from a vastly overpopulated planet, are the people who are really the self-interested asswipes. They're too afraid of the emotional loss that will happen anyway regardless to let what needs to happen happen.

less people means less mouths, less consumption of resources, less environmental damage.

Er, you do realise that culling the old, sick and susceptible will pretty much have zero effect on over-population, don't you? We've already reproduced. Natural selection doesn't work once you've already bred. That's why nobody who has kids is eligible for a Darwin award. All it would result in would be a minor and temporary dip in demand for resources. For those who want to do something about over-population we need something that will wipe out a good percentage of the under 45s. Stop them before they get a chance to spawn the next generation.

So, any volunteers?

Just got back from visiting both sets of parents with the whole family

They stayed indoors and we spoke to them from the end of the front gardens.

OH was petrified we might never see them again so we did the best we could without putting them at risk.

Picked middle daughter up from Cardiff Uni on Thursday ... we then did a further 50 miles into South Wales for us to wave and speak to the mother-in-law through her window at her care home (luckily she's on the ground floor) ... was a surprise for the old girl and her face lit up ... 400 mile round trip in all but it was worth it ... my other half had been petrified she might not see her mum alive again ... the home had already been on lockdown since Jan as they'd had novovirus on the upper floor ... just gotta do what you can <ok>

My guess is that the decision will now be made for us. Looking at various social media sites today, it appears the the British public will need to be ordered to stay at home.

What amazes me is there are people in the office who have and can work from home , but they are not allowed to .

Honestly hope that changes tomorrow or sometime this week .
