surprised it's not you arguing it then.
That was his original argument when this all started!

Yeah, our local Coop is well stocked. All the smaller shops are fine, just been in one of the small M&S and they had everything.
Absolutely. Fear is definitely infectious, and so is panic buying.
People hear about shops with empty shelves, so they rush to the shops to empty the shelves - as fast as the staff can fill them up again.

and it all has it's ecological & resource cost, which everyone who spouts those 'we can feed billions more' like to ignore, the same as the vegans ignore that the amazon will still get ****ed by farming even if everyone stopped eating meat, and battery car fans like to ignore the rare earth materials needed to make them, despite them being called 'rare-earth'.for a reason. Now is not the time to use this to wish for things you've wanted all along
That's No1 on my recent list of things that annoy me about people at this time
99% of life was killed by geology or other creatures not humans. Geological processes have destroyed more eco systems than we've ever known ourselves.
A chimp will rip your scrotum off so you cant reproduce
We're not all that mate, when we're gone, it;ll be like we were never here in a 1000 years.
We're not so bad, "ask the people in Pompei if they felt like a threat to the planet" - George Carlin
FYI we have been told and overpopulation doom since the 70s and Paul Erlich, everything he predicted was typical of blinker "science". Millions dead by the 90s it was claimed. He never even considered technological advancement of human civilization (even though his time was a far cry from 1900) Like duh.
We produce enough food for around 12 billion, every year. Enough to feed 2 billion their daily calorie intake at least, is thrown in the garbage. Vast quantities of meat is thrown out globally by supermarket chains alone.
All in the name of international trade of course.
Not sure Roy !what did you expect ?

well, that's really a matter of perspective, it could quite easily be argued that the people stopping Covid running it's course and, by natural selection, cull the old, sick and susceptible from a vastly overpopulated planet, are the people who are really the self-interested asswipes. They're too afraid of the emotional loss that will happen anyway regardless to let what needs to happen happen.
less people means less mouths, less consumption of resources, less environmental damage.
no, it's being cleared fr soya farming, I thought we'd already cleared that up, but I keep forgetting you're a vegan so only read pro-vegan biased articles for confirmation purposes..The Amazon is being cleared for cattle farming. We cleared all this up before. You utter mong.
I hope they get Gordon Ramsay to announce the lockdown.
See, if I said something like that, Stan and brb would self-combust with self-righteous indignation.
The difference between you and Ern is he has views, that always seem to be pretty consistent, whereas you don't have any consistent views, all your posts are like the one I've quoted here, LOOK AT ME.
