I appreciate they’re a much smaller country but there’s no arguing with the fact that they were decisive and put the welfare of the populace first.

Easier done when you only have a population of less than 5 million. Plus let's not forget us like the rest of Europe believe in freedom of movement, that's always going to have it's inherit problems as Italy found out first to its cost. Unlike China, where they have their own special ways of dealing with people, and restricting movement immediately. The reality was it didn't take long for it to become every dog for itself, particularly around PPE and ventilators. Also another mistake in the world resourcing half of its PPE from China, because that dog rightly is always going to look after itself first, much as the same as Germany. The lesson learned is have your own resources and your own people come first.
