I don’t want anybody to become a scapegoat is the point I’ll be arguing. This is unprecedented and obviously when all this is finished we’ll look back and see glaring errors that were made. I don’t think now is the time to be pointing fingers, though, which probably won’t be a popular opinion on here.
Our Prime Minister has lead from the front in this and in doing so it has nearly cost him his life. He’s been upfront when he needed to be and talked about the reasons why he was holding back on the lockdown because of his concerns around people’s physical and mental health. He give people a chance to adhere to the rules, nobody listened so he then enforced the lockdown.
It’s looking obvious that it’s come to late and that’s something the government and future governments will have to learn from and deal better with if it or something similar comes around again. Giving his reasons for holding back on the lockdown and also taking into consideration that he was also being giving advice by the chief medical officer, I’ll choose to not point any fingers on this one.
