I find it very hard to breathe with a mask on. Thirty years of heavy smoking are the reason for that, certainly not gonna blame anyone but myself.

If I wanted to, I’m sure I could claim exemption. But like most people, I want to do what’s right, because it’s the right thing to do. Which was my original point btw.

It winds me up that literally the same people who were suggesting they’d live off BBQ’d rat and see their offspring lose their livelihoods because Brexit was sooooooo important, that they’d do ‘whatever it takes’ in order to see it happen. The same people who said we should invoke the Spirit of the Blitz, and labelled people snowflakes for pointing out facts. Are now some of the very same people who are suggesting that wearing a face mask in a shop is akin to the State ‘muzzling’ them and are crying their eyes out over it.

Went shopping for the first time in a while and put my first mask on . Reckon all told i saw 60-70 people from parking up to leaving and only 4 of us were wearing a mask & none of the staff .

Mind you did find one problem with mask wearing at the checkout . Normal procedure is load first bag with solid objects (normally bottles <whistle> ) then put the second on top and to make sure it doesn't fall i "hold" the handles with my gnashers ..... without thinking i leant forward then realisation sank in <doh>

He’s got no problem leaving the house blacked up though.

UK does U-turn on Huawei re 5G. We will always be America's poodle. Sad really.

I've got no beef with China or Huawei, but I will admit, I wasn't happy with what I saw as verbal threats from Chinese delegates, in recent weeks. That's not speaking up for Trump, Boris or anyone else. Just saying China could have worded it's warnings towards the UK in a better manner.

There have been numerous articles on Huawei prior to Trump and his tit for tat actions. Concerns with Huawei go back to the turn of the century

I know these are the arguments and I have no problem with that. If we'd decided this on our own terms to begin with then at least we would look to be masters of our own destiny. And THAT is key. But the decision was made as a direct result of U.S. recent actions and instructions to us, and our government has said that themselves today.

It's not just aimed at this government btw, red or blue we have a history of this lap poodle bollox and it gets my goat tbh.

Sadly we are a tiny island stuck between the two big boys, America and China. When it comes to ability of future technology, I guess we have to chose between one or the other. I'd prefer neither, but we are like a non league team, up against the likes of Man City when it comes to the rules <whistle>

You're spot on mate and needs must, but we should still decide for ourselves. Funny thing is we and America have both been massively caught out by development in digital technology. China have surged ahead and have a real advantage in cornering the global market. The U.S. know this and that's what this is really all about. I'm not defending China, but if it was the other way round, any criticism of U.S. for trying to corner the global market would've been derided. All's I'm saying is that BOTH of them are two sides of the same coin, they both seek global economic domination - I'd be happy to tell each to fck off or make a decision for each on a case by case basis, but one we live or die by on our own.

Or the crisp company with a net worth of a packet of Wotsits who got a £100m contract to supply PPE.

Oh look Branson just found £200m to plough into Virgin Atlantic. He won't be needing the government bailout after all.

If only he'd found the furlough money to pay 3000 staff instead of making them redundant.

And then this odious fck actually asked those who were left to volunteer to crew flights because of staff shortages when flights resumed in July. What an utter **** <ok>

I had a different impression of him from when I was a kid which I grew up with - he seemed like someone to look up to. Now I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire.
