If you get knocked down by a car and are in desperate need of aid in an emergency setting…would you really give a **** if the first responder is vaccinated or not ?
When I joined the NHS I was given a blood test, including a test for HIV if I wanted it. I was under no obligation at the time to have any vaccinations but personally I took everything offered, which if memory serves me right included Hep B or C.
My theory was that I’ve stuck enough pharmaceuticals in my body throughout the years in pursuit of pleasure, and that having some more to protect my self and others really wasn’t a big deal.
I still reserve the right for others to decline…it’s their choice, however much I think its the wrong choice. It doesn’t effect the job they do

My preference would be for them to be vaccinated. Not because I would be worried about COVID, but because I don’t trust the judgement of those who decline the vaccination (except those who have been advised not to by a medical professional). Why would I want to be treated by someone who’s judgement I don’t trust?
Granted, I won’t get a choice, particularly in an accident situation. And in most situations it probably won’t make any difference. Just my feelings.
Sorry mate I just don’t get the link you find between someone not getting the vaccine having any effect what so ever in how good they are at their job, or how well you would be treated (forgive me if I’m reading it wrong)
I know some amazing medics who are the best around, who for reasons of their own, don’t want the vaccine.
Far from it, ive had my 2 jabs and if i want to go to certain countries to holiday then i will have my booster. Just wondering where it will all end
Personal choice…..a vaccine that has been pushed through too quickly without due testing……feeling they have enough antibodies naturally to fight off the disease….
Im not saying I agree or disagree with any of their reasons but I can’t say any have effected their ability to administer pain relief in an emergency situation or swiftly decide that someone is ‘Big Sick’ and needs to be blued to hospital at speed.

Guess what Lads.... I've tested positive again (2 tests just to be sure, to be sure). I always test on Tuesday...after the weekend and before I baby sit my granddaughters for two days. Precautionary..
Again NO SYMPTOMS....(I love the vaccine).
Hubbie negative but has a few symptoms (remember he has long covid and is feeling fatigued and achey yesterday ...he is OK today, he loves the vaccine too).
But i am a good girl, and I am doing what I am supposed to and isolating until I get 2 negative tests after day 5/6.
But..grab a coffee here comes the rant
Just had my trace and track call.
They wanted to know everything I had done over last week. As he was obviously had to etch it into a stone tablet it took way over an hour, before I told him this was ridiculous and hung up. I was bullied and threatened that if I did not give info it was illegal.
We had multiple arguments
Me. hubbie is LFnegative..
TT man: he doesn't have to isolate
But he has a few symptoms...
TT man: he does have to isolate
But he has had long covid on and off since August
TT: he will have to see a doctor
But he can't as he is a direct contact and has symptoms
TT: I don't know then
Who does
TT: I don't know.
This is a waste of our time..
When we got to who had I met last Tuesday(8 days ago) ...I refused to give him contact details of my daughter.. I could be prosecuted, ....do it then I said
( I had already given him full contacts to QPR, Kassam stadium car boot, 2 seperate Tescos, Aylesbury museum , Zizzi restaurant, 2 pubs, 3 paper shops, a charity shop, 2 trains ,2 bus journeys..and was pretty bored.
The only contact details I could remember was my husband. So he has received a notification...to my phone!!!!!!
He never asked me if I was vaccinated.
He never asked me if I had symptoms.( mind you I may have mentioned it several times).
I asked him what he was going to do with the details I gave him...he said he didnt know...but if QPR go into lockdown...its because of me
He actually asked me if I was in close contact with anyone in the stadium...I asked him if he had ever been to a football match.
The only information I wanted was where to get some LFTests as I am running out
"He was pretty sure it was on the website"...yes it is , and I have found it ...but not really much help
Still NO SYMPTOMS but my blood pressure is through the roof...and I haven't had time to even brush my teeth yet

Beth, why on earth did you record the results of the test with Test and Trace? We know, firstly, you will follow the rules without any external pressure and secondly, that the Test and Trace crew are a bunch of halfwit jobsworths.
I’ll assume that you weren’t infectious on Saturday, if indeed you were infectious at any stage…..

My Mrs does Track and Trace calls for the council……whilst most people are pleasant and happy to help, some are persistently argumentative and seem out to belittle and confuse. There’s always two sides to every story
Fair enough.
I suspect we have gone past this phase of the pandemic now, track and trace only makes sense with relatively low numbers of infections when you are trying to contain the spread of the virus. We are not doing this, all this does is ping loads of people to tell them they might have been in the vicinity of someone who might have been infectious……when that is the case every time you leave your house, because there is so much of it about.

However my point still stands…..and reading Beth’s post back over again hasn’t changed my mind
I started this conversation very compliantly, but asking me for the address of all my contacts in the last 8 days. Informing me it was an offence not to tell him.
Asking me for the exact address of the Aylesbury museum because he couldn't find it on whatever system he was using.
Asking me to go and ask my husband for his NHS number, which I did.
Asking me who I met at QPR stadium.
But specifically Stainsy...please ask your wife please if she would bully someone with the threat of prosecution if they refused to give the contact details of some they met 7 days ago .

Is because we are not over this yet..People are not reporting results for exactly these reasons.
We actually need to know this data.

Have I been vaccinated
Have I had it before.
How ill am I.
I think we are at the tail end of this pandemic...the information that omicron B1 or B2 is going through the population rapidly and in vaccinated people it is not having much effect ( a mild cold or nothing).
We need to know and show..that the majority of people who are seriously ill are those who are unvaccinated.
We should make it easy to report...not take over an hour before one person lost the will to live.
Do they hassle ill people/hospitilised people in the same way.
I have sent in a complaint, I was told at the start of the conversation with Trace and Track that the call was recorded. I have asked them to listen to it and confirm if it is correct I can be prosecuted for not giving an address for someone I met 7 days ago

I stand by my original assumption upon reading your original post that you seemed a bit belligerent. Very easy to take your frustrations out on the poor guy doing his job……it was done to me on numerous occasions while at BA, however it’s something I try personally not to do.
With respect Beth, I think you may have taken out your frustrations at the system out on this poor guy who was only doing his job. As I previously stated, I’ve dealt with these kinds of situations before many times and your attitude is nothing new.
