I think the booster here is Pfizer
Which is the same as the first two shots
Not due mine till may
I'm not sure, it's your body. You do what you think is best. I'm not interested in anyone's vaccine status. It's a personal choice.

Me neither to be honest. No matter ones vaccine status, we can all still catch it, we can all still infect others and we can all still get ill from it.I'm not sure, it's your body. You do what you think is best. I'm not interested in anyone's vaccine status. It's a personal choice.
Nobody lied... The virus is evolving. They lied!
I totally understand what you are saying Beth and appreciate and respect your opinions. My sis inlaws whole family caught covid without any vaccinations, all totally fine and have now built up a natural defence of antibodies, so much so that when she caught it for a 2nd time in August her main symptom was a sniffle. Another sis in law (nurse) has had all jabs and booster and also caught covid after 2 jabs resulting in a nasty cold type virus, she has recently had her booster and a big lump has appeared under her armpit and she is quite unwell. Im not an anti vaxer by any stretch of the imagination but im in a difficult position regarding my wife. Ive personally decided not to have the booster, thats my choice but for people (not so much on here) to call that selfish is totally wrong. Vacinated or unvacinated can catch it, spread it and end up in hospital.Nobody lied... The virus is evolving.
The vaccine has protected against the alpha and delta variants. And prevented many people from getting seriously ill...and is still doing that....
But because so many poor countries have not been able to vaccinate a new variant has evolved that is more transmissable, and is taking over.
If you compare the figures last time we had 50,000 cases a day ..we had a 1000 deaths.. now it is about 120.
As have said...hubbie and I have had covid...he was ill but not hospitalised, I was asymptomatic. I am delighted with that. Thank you vaccine.
Sure its just a cold to be fair but will double check with a pcr.Good luck
Professor Eleanor Riley, Professor of immunology and infectious diseases at Edinburgh University, says we should assume that anyone we come into contact with has the new variant. If they have had a negative lateral flow test within the last couple of hours we can perhaps be a little more confident that they haven’t got it.
If this is true, or even partially true, it’s completely pointless trying to resist this thing, especially with the half hearted measures we have at the moment. Another full lockdown is the only logical option unless everyone gets their booster jab in the next week. But we can’t afford another lockdown, we can’t pay furlough again. What we should brace ourselves for is a collapse of the NHS and plan accordingly. Even if this variant is less ‘serious’ than previous ones (no evidence that I have seen for this) and the vaccine does provide some protection from serious disease, with 100,000 plus cases a day we are going to have huge numbers needing hospitals.
The experts are really piling on the fear again. I’m not sure if it’s helpful.
That’s my gut feeling, but it almost guarantees that hospitals will sink and the economy will collapse if those who test positive or come into contact with those who have, millions of people a week, have to isolate for ten days as is the rule in Scotland. Pingdemic#2 on the way.I think we have reached the point where we have to live with this thing.
Keep vaccinating, but no restrictions bar possibly masks in shops and on transport etc.

It’s potent stuff, everyone I know who has had it, including me, has had a reaction.
The good news is that AZ, AZ, Moderna was the best performing combination…….until this pesky new thing came along. I’m assuming that the 75% protection from symptomatic disease for those who have had the third dose holds true for all combinations of vaccine.
Remember it takes two weeks for full effect to kick in.
Changes every weekDo you mean the Moderna jab is more potent, or that the triple combination of 2 AZs and 1 Moderna is potent?
