Crackers
Well, I’m sad for him, but kind of relieved that we hasn’t been vaccinated. He has not had a jab as was being treated for pneumonia
Same when I had a flu jab before Christmas, big queues but very smooth, joined a queue of about 100, was done in ten minutes. It can be done, and it’s the responsibility of the people in the queue to wear a mask and keep their distance. No gets an advantage by not doing these things.I must say in their defence it was extremely well organised, social distancing was observed
Beth are the scientists now doing the logistics roll out? Sorry but throughout this pandemic I have congratulated the scientists and the NHS... all the way. This fab roll out however is down to the government and many other people including volunteers.I am sure you meant to say Ellers:- well done to the scientists who created the vaccine and to the NHS and NHS Trusts who organised the rollout, so efficiently
Yes before you get on my back .. yes very well done to the government who this time got it right with the setting up of the contracts and paying for the vaccine. Their record on setting up contracts and paying for them has up to now not been their forte...but at last this time they avoided their usual acts of cronyism and SERCO.
Oops sorry, wrong post liked. Can more people please like Ellers’ post. He’s upset. Thank you in advance.
The government oversees this. Funny when it went wrong it was their fault and when they get it right it’s everyone else that gets the praise? The logistics are being rolled out by the NHS trusts, the Go networks, the pharmacy network. The local logistics set up.
As it should have been for the trace and track system...but it wasn't...it was subcontracted to Serco and others.
So I congratulate the government wholeheartedly for at last doing the right thing and leaving it to the experts in the NHS and allied networks and not intervening to get their mates in.

We should rename the ‘Covidcast’ thread to ‘ we hate the government so let’s bitch about them’ thread? I’m sure a few people will be happy?
Great work going on in Newcastle, where 31 GP practices have banded together to give vaccines at the rate of 30 every five minutes in a couple of basketball courts under one roof. They had visited every care home in the city earlier in the month. Sole aim is to vaccinate the most vulnerable as quickly as possible. Elsewhere single practices are getting people into the village hall on Thursday mornings. No one has told them how to do this, they are left to decide on their own. The dynamic approach taken in Newcastle is the result of consent and collaboration, not ‘guidance’ or ‘oversight’.The logistics are being rolled out by the NHS trusts, the Go networks, the pharmacy network. You see Watford you are wrong yet again. I made sure that I choose the articles from a fair mix... including The Guardian just to please a few. The truth is we have a few posters who just dislike the government and no matter what they do, will never give them credit. I know there a some who must be hating all this good news but tough 2222. 9m vaccines give 600k yesterday. Plenty will moan but won’t mind getting the jab.Weird how you spend three days spamming the board with near-identical tweets from right wing talking heads then cry victim again.
Just seen this. Sad I hope he pulls through. People like him put the great in Great Britain.Capt Thomas Moore is in hospital with the virus and Pneumonia, here's hoping he recovers...
