I think the line of lorries waiting at Dover (of all nationalities) is world class.
I’d rather see a squadron of Spitfires returning home over those cliffs.......
just saying.

Are you suggesting we start bombing Germany again?
That'll get Merkels' attention!!
If you put it to a referendum it would have a chance.
Just watching the news and those poor lorry drivers still aren’t getting tested. They have now blocked the ports and some have been there 4-5 days.
Interesting that they are all blaming France/Macron/Brexit stunt. What doesn’t help is confining them all together Which will only spread the virus if someone has it... which means that we have a load of abandoned lorries for 10 days while they isolate.
This ridiculous stunt will backfire on the little Napoleon muppet.
The thing about you Watford is you don’t really understand. You are everything against this country. If you don’t like it move to the EU and try and get a job in France. As I said I don’t blame you as you are a Blair school kid.Congratulations you’ve gone full Brexit moron.
With little to no facilities, it's really well organised. My wife's uncle is stuck down there. He says its scandalous. People pissing and ****ting on the sides of roads. Very well organised chaosJust watching the news and those poor lorry drivers still aren’t getting tested. They have now blocked the ports and some have been there 4-5 days.

I heard it was Something like 90% EU drivers. It’s not good enough. This has been caused by one person and that is Macron. Let’s see in 3 weeks when this new strain is in France what happens with other borders?I have no idea how many of the drivers queued up are of British nationality, but from any reports I have seen it is mostly EU citizens trying to get back to home/work before Christmas. I imagine a fair number of British drivers will be expecting to turnaround and head back to depots.
I’m sure that any new variant is already in Europe; and just because our amazing scientists were able to identify it doesn’t mean it came from here. Talk about politicians with their heads in the sand - seems prevalent across the world (inept politicians, not viral variants).
Definitely feels like Macron taking an opportunity to boost his popularity and to throw in a little Brexit salt into the wound.
Not sure it will be a wise move in the longer term.

You don’t understand what losing is.You Came last in a race at school and still ended up wining. .
Moron.

I love the debate over truck numbers
Clearly no one on here has ever worked in logistics
Up to 10,000 trucks pass through Dover daily - so the rate at which queues can build is amazing
Any one who has travelled key freight routes into Kent or elsewhere in the country like the A14 (Midlands to Felixstowe) will have seen how - even with no port delays - every available lay by is full by mid evening
Many of the drivers - particularly those from central Europe - have very little cash and tend to bring all their provisions over with them so delays are a particular issue for them
It is very sad that this has developed into a political football - freight has been moving through all previous lock downs
Was Johnson right when he said that just 170 were stuck then?
It’s a shame you dislike like our country so much mate.String a ****ing coherent sentence together if you’re going to call someone a moron.
These drivers, however many there are after Johnson and Shapps just chose to brazenly lie to the nation about that, have been abandoned in some dump in Kent, untested and reliant on the good will of people to help them. We’re a pariah state because the world doesn’t trust us to get the basics right with this virus as we’ve constantly shown we can’t/won’t so now dozens of countries have banned flights and you’re blaming France for being cautious, weeks after we banned flights Denmark.
We could send Watford. I’m sure they would appreciate his words. He could well have been as ordinarily there is a free flow with no trucks stuck
Depends when the count was done and which locations were counted though. If it was just the port it could've been an underestimation as many drivers would park up else where
Maybe we should appoint an official Not606 rep to head down to Kent to count
Too many mistakes have been made by the government and others. Too many different opinions that dismiss the other. The World needs to sit down together and sort it out collectively. Although that won’t work. What we don’t need is a Tony Blair. They obviously didn't screw the coffin lid down tightly enough...
