A PS5 is probably not all Bob's wanting to get his hands on now
There's been anecdotal evidence that people have been flying from the UK into Belfast and Derry airports in Northern Ireland and been collected by relatives driving ROI registered cars thereby circumventing the travel ban on people entering ROI from the UK........beggars belief how selfish people are....
CMO and various scientists believe that it's likely that the new variant is already on the island of Ireland and the view is that the travel ban will last beyond Christmas. The advise is to not have any gatherings, do not visit other households, do not go to pubs or restaurants or any other place where there are likely to be large numbers of people.......
It's going to take a month or so to vaccinate care home residents and cares so unlikely that the general roll out will start until late January, early February......
Since March I've not been able to get close to give my 99 year old mother a hug of reassurance, I've only been able to see her once a week since June and at a distance of 2 metres with a glass screen in between us, or in the case of the last 6 weeks lockdown through an open window........
A scientist on the radio this evening said that yes we all want to meet up with friends and family, enjoy the food and drink and have a good craic, but think on as you could be burying them in a few weeks......
A sobering thought.......

It's also been reported that Londoners with second homes staged a mass exodus from the City as soon as the new restrictions were announced, thus spreading the virus to all parts.
No wonder we take two steps forward and one back with these selfish ****s behaving like that.
Exactly what happened when the New York City (Manhattan) people came out to stay in their second homes in the Hamptons.
Why arn't the police at airport and rail terminals to ensure people are not leaving the London area to travel to other areas on these islands?

I doubt it’s all that genuine but they’re regularly arguing on social media about Morgan Jr’s attitude to all things Covid.
That's exactly what happened at the out set of the pandemic in Italy, Spain, France, all those from the main cities buggered off to their country retreats and took the virus with them and then couldn't understand why the rural hospitals couldn't cope..........
I can agree with that. I have a second home in France and I know of many that escaped not only England but Paris. I decided on 3 occasions not to go. I was due to go out on December the 27th but cancelled. We were disappointed but felt it was the right thing to do. It’s a shame others didn’t do what we did.

Yeah it was on our local news last night that the new variant has made it West with lots of folk fleeing the East. They said there wouldn't be police roadblocks! But Jeez what a think to even have mentioned on the news.
The World Health Organisation and the European Commission, neither of which are exactly flavour of the month in these parts if we are honest, both trying to undo the panic set off by Handcocks ‘virus is out of control’ statement and get lorries moving again.
He'll probably try to put things right by ****ing crying in an interview again.
