I had to leave work early today to collect Lil’ Uber from school, having been informed that she sat next to a lad in a lesson on Friday that has since tested positive for coronavirus. She now has to self-isolate until the 19th, meaning I will have work from home too.

Biggest bummer is that I’m supposed to be finally moving home on the 22nd, which is now in jeopardy.

Not been a good few weeks, but hey-ho...

Hope it gets better Ubes

Just **** it off. Do the house move innit.

What a bastard.

Can you get yourself and kids tested and skip the isolation of negative? I, like most of the known universe, am unclear of the precise nature of the rules. Or guidance. Or laws. Whatever.

Yeah, I’m looking into that, but the school has said she’s excluded regardless of the outcome of a test.

Get on with your life mate. The kid, presumably, has produced a positive pcr test. That does not definitely mean a positive case. This test is being called out as completely unfit for purpose and a farce.

I agree, just get on and do what you see fit mate. The whole testing system is a farce, the rules arent even known by the man who instigated them. **** them mate

That's a bummer Uber. I hope that you and Little Uber are safe and well.

It's moments like these that remind you what a ****storm this whole thing is.

Crist, no wonder CV is rocketing upwards in the UK. If you got famiy you live with who have tested positive you got to isolate yourselves for 14 days to stop yourselves spreading it further to others, or until the one family member who tested positive has a couple of negative tests. That must be obvious now to anyone with their eyes open.

Thing is I heard tonight that they are running out of testing kits again as more people want tests.

Maybe the way ahead is not to have a test. If you have a test this enables them to enforce more lockdowns. Don't have a test. Don't comply with the state. They're not your friend and neither are the police. Don't trust them!

That's an interesting point you make Oslo.
2 of my friends, who tested positive, are now back to work (in peoples houses) after their 10 day isolation. They have never been tested again for any checks. Surely common sense dictates that any positive tests should be redone after the period to see if they are safe to go out and about. Then again, common sense doesnt seem get involved in decision making.

My daughter hasn’t tested positive, Os.
