No I don't particularly like Jezza as he obviously has problems with the Jewish community.
Anyway back to Covid.... I couldn't believe that France has only downloaded 3m of it's equivalent app? Whereas here 14m have downloaded the NHS App and 18m in Germany. For this whole thing to work everybody needs to be onboard.
And for everybody to be onboard it needs to work properly! I for one wont be downloading it but that's my personal choice.

I have...as I want to see how it works...and so far pretty unimpressed for the reason I gave yesterday.

The multiple contacts I had last week ...when I know I did not.

Just to bring up another aspect of the Covid 19 restrictions - the most supported clubs in England at the moment are: Hednesford Town, South Shields, FC United of Manchester, Hyde United, Stafford Rangers and Weston Super Mare ! The reason being that they are all plying their trade lower than the Nationwide Leagues - which means they are still allowed up to 30% of their ground capacity on match days. I watched the highlights of the FA Cup Preliminary round game between Tiverton Town and Taunton Town on YouTube and there were 2 sets of fans at both ends (changing at half time like in the old days). This was in the second round - but what happens next - when clubs who are allowed fans start being drawn against clubs who aren't ? This is all a bit arbitrary in that all of the 6 clubs mentioned earlier are allowed fans whereas Hemel Hempstead Town FC, who get lower crowds than them, aren't by virtue of being a league higher.
Already happened, Corinthian Casuals (allowed fans) v Dulwich (not). Dulwich fans sneaked in and the casuals club said ‘how are we meant to stop it?’. Dulwich won, went to their fans to celebrate and (in jest) the fans shooed them away as officially they (the fans) weren’t there.

Will Boris be buying everyone who hasn’t got one a smartphone and contract then, so they can download an app which, as Beth has shown earlier in this thread, really doesn’t function properly?

The whole 'back to work', 'school is perfectly safe', ' eat out to help out' etc etc was supposedly based around a world beating test and trace system. Wouldnt it have been wise to see if we had a working system before doing all the above.

Maybe they love freedom more than we do.

Well when I said it didn't work ...what I meant was I am sure it would work if I had a brand new iPhone...and not the 4 year old android I possess..
So Boris...send me a new phone and I will try again please

Old or new phone, 16000 positive cases would have gone missing

I still cant quite believe Mancocks reply. That should be aired on national TV so everyone can witness just how little these people actually give a ****!
Just watched this. Wow.

just looked it up. 4% of UK households don’t have a smartphone (including my Mum, though she does have a laptop and an iPad....). 25% of households have one phone between them presumably the app only works (sorry, only has the potential to work, if it worked) if everyone has a phone? Could get pricey!

Agree my Mrs dad has the oldest phone around. However, people with modern phones should download it. The more they have the best it will be to trace (when it does work properly.
It is funny the number of people that knocked the government about this App (many on here) then I hear those same people not wanting to download it? <doh> Says it all.

It would make perfect sense for someone who knocked the app to then not download it mate. Wouldnt you agree?

Well, I downloaded it and I think it's fine. It keeps a record of where I have been. That picture taking thing is easy.
I think people just moan for the sake of it?
They definitely do! There could be thousands moaning soon due to 16000 tests going walkies. Bloody moaners

No, I think it's everybody's responsibility to download it if they can. If it helps to save lives then we should.
Still, I am sure some people won't download it then moan if the death rate goes up.

I'm sure people will download it and moan that the death rate goes up too.

Have you got the same problem with the actual contacts that I have Ellers... i.e. far more than I am sure I have had.
Today at tescos I made sure I was not anywhere near anyone at all. Interested to see what it says

I will wait until it's truly functional. My mate who got a positive last thursday actually scanned into costa coffee that morning (prior to knowing). Nobody in costa has been informed. Hilariously, despite both being on the app, his apprentice who was sat with him in the van, in costa has not been notified to self isolate.
This is why we are where we are! People not being informed, people being misinformed, test results not being uploaded, tests going missing, results not quick enough. It's a farce, I'm choosing not to add to that.
