Just to bring up another aspect of the Covid 19 restrictions - the most supported clubs in England at the moment are: Hednesford Town, South Shields, FC United of Manchester, Hyde United, Stafford Rangers and Weston Super Mare ! The reason being that they are all plying their trade lower than the Nationwide Leagues - which means they are still allowed up to 30% of their ground capacity on match days. I watched the highlights of the FA Cup Preliminary round game between Tiverton Town and Taunton Town on YouTube and there were 2 sets of fans at both ends (changing at half time like in the old days). This was in the second round - but what happens next - when clubs who are allowed fans start being drawn against clubs who aren't ? This is all a bit arbitrary in that all of the 6 clubs mentioned earlier are allowed fans whereas Hemel Hempstead Town FC, who get lower crowds than them, aren't by virtue of being a league higher.
