I’m coming round to the view that the government has lost the plot entirely, they’ve given up on trying to explain, persuade and convince the population to protect themselves and each other, and are focussing on threatening with fines and policing of incoherent regulations instead. It won’t work, treat people like children and they behave like children. Plus, as the police themselves are saying, they don’t have the capacity to cajole people into following distancing rules.

If the increasingly insane rules which now apply in Newcastle are rolled out here, I won’t be allowed to visit my 81 year old mother who lives alone. Really? The thing which we have been promised - quick and easy regular testing/antibody testing (I’ve seen these in play and they take ten minutes and are self administered. Why hasn’t everybody had one?) where people get some shareable verifiable document/e-document to show they are clear is the only way forward to allow commerce to function until a vaccine is available. It doesn’t even matter if the tests aren’t that accurate, it’s a psychological thing. If they are good enough to be used as a basis for restrictive rules they should also be good enough to permit free movement.

But this isn’t about the virus. It’s about the NHS.

I heard something about T cell immunity yesterday. Something similar to antibody immunity. Do you know about this?

Blimey ... you are really on a roll Sb. Another completely sensible post.
It was said a long time ago, a decent App that can prove your likely ‘clean’ from virus should allow you access - just as Staines has to when he visits his gym - and even he isn’t complaining (much :emoticon-0100-smile) about it. And it’s up to the App user to be responsible :) for what they input into their App. Is it 100%. No. But neither is driving down the same road every day to work in a metal box that moves at high speed.

Relative risk assessment seems to be a discipline that is not felt to be required in this situation.

Although I can understand that it is of little solace to those who have suffered, in any way, from the virus, to be told that they were just statistically unlucky.

I stand by the fact I have been given at least one name of someone who will not debate with you because they fear they will be banned.....I didn’t believe it at the time but a name was given to me by Will (No secret there). Out of respect to Will and the other poster I will not mention names, even in private.

Never said I had proof you were a grass......just it all adds up that you are. I always don’t have any proof that god doesn’t exist.....but I believe he doesn’t.

It's not a good position to be in to accuse some of being a grass, Stainsey and then provide no evidence and admit you haven't got any. If you don't like Ellers's views or approach, fine, but you need evidence before accusing someone of being a snitch. Just good old British fair play, isn't it?

I make up my own mind my friend. If you feel free to call people imbeciles and use your usual insulting post in reply, then people are free to call you slippery, grass, Ellersov or whatever. As for a short memory........what was I saying.....
