How can they possibly be confident where and when someone contracted the virus?
They can’t Strolls.....it’s just made up figures for the sake of it
How can they possibly be confident where and when someone contracted the virus?
I did start watching how they do this on one of the news stations but it became complicated and I turned it over. It must be very difficult to know exactly where and who infected someone. I do believe they said they had a good idea at identifying certain cases. How can they possibly be confident where and when someone contracted the virus?

Apparently the researchers were only able to establish one possible source in just over a quarter of cases - it would certainly be possible to trace a person's movements and any contact to large groups of people over the 4-5 days between infection and positive testing. I would say that the figures are not absolutely reliable, but it doesn't really matter it's only a general guide. The one thing which it does show is that the vast majority of infections take place within 4 walls, which appears logical. So Germany's plans to close outdoor Christmas markets doesn't appear very logical if the same people will be meeting each other in smaller groups indoors.I did start watching how they do this on one of the news stations but it became complicated and I turned it over. I guess they can use process of elimination to work it out. For example if I live in Berkshire and only had contact with my neighbours then I caught it from them and not some bod in Newcastle who never left his house? If I only met my neighbour on Sunday then that is when I caught it. I would hate to be the fella that works that all out?Apparently the researchers were only able to establish one possible source in just over a quarter of cases - it would certainly be possible to trace a person's movements and any contact to large groups of people over the 4-5 days between infection and positive testing. Another study has shown that smokers are 23% less likely to get the virusThis could be because nicotine is able to block the virus from entering cells - or it may also control the immune system stopping it from dangerously over-reacting to infection. Or it could just be that smokers spend more time outdoors (or that fewer strangers go up and kiss them in the street). Anyway the WHO doesn't want this info getting out ! Nonetheless some medical authorities are experimenting with nicotine patches.
Of course they can't, but it frustrates me. Chris Smith, a virologist often used by the BBC (and therefore obviously a far-left radical), has said that the chances of contracting the virus in an open-air situation are 'vanishingly small', which is what I've suspected all along. If this could be statistically demonstrated to be true, there would be no justification for stopping people attending outdoor sporting events
I'm not convinced.
So you're sat in loftus road and some idiot sat behind you coughs all over you.
If they've got the virus, I would suggest that there would be more than a 'vanishingly small' chance of them passing it on to you.
Less chance that indoors admittedly.
I think they'd have to leave a couple of rows and seats between strangers.
Your answer is why our country is screwed
Theres little evidence of them being beneficial.......oh wait there is....oh no there isnt.....now there is.....what are Scotland doing??People could be asked to wear these mask things that everyone's talking about.
So if you had school age kids would you be happy to send them back to school?Seriously safe to send kids back to school.......so why any need for face masks then? Honestly this government really need to get a ****ing grip, so say some senior Tory Mps anyhow.
I do have a school age child and the answer is he isnt going back to school. So if you had school age kids would you be happy to send them back to school?
And if so would you want masks to be worn by the kids and staff?
Primary or secondary age, and are they happy to continue to stay at home?I do have a school age child and the answer is he isnt going back to school.
Secondary just about to enter GCSE year. It's not his decision its ours as parents.Primary or secondary age, and are they happy to continue to stay at home?
I hope he can get back safely soonSecondary just about to enter GCSE year. It's not his decision its ours as parents.
I was the total opposite, hated every minute, left at 15 to work full time. School isnt for everyone.I hope he can get back safely soon
I really enjoyed my time at school (well....the social side rather than the work!) and would've found the current situation really difficult to cope with
