I was comparing the disastrous and expensive failures of the government to a hypothetical disastrous and expensive start to the season. If that disastrous start improved by a tiny margin it still wouldn’t warrant anything but condemnation even from our most happy-clappy of fans.
Just checked in to my hotel in Ayrshire - lovely view over the water to Arran - and had my temperature taken on arrival. 35.7° so below the normal average range...and hopefully alive for another few days at least

I find him a welcome antidote to the some of the more pompous posters on here.
When we will enter 1st of October in Germany therey will be around 1 Million insolvencies which have been delayed (on purpose) creating around 10 Million more unemployments within this year. They have prolonged Short-time work till the end of 2021 for at least 10 Million more people. Next year there will be the German elections in September 2021 and of course they would like to be re-elected - before those people will end up unemployed.
There is no deadly virus around and only very, very stupid people still cannot see what is happening infront of them. Keep believing in that utterly stupid narrative and you will be all dependent on the state.
I would rather recommend that any decent member here tries to get him-/herself prepared for the very bad months and years to come. There is still some time left getting yourself organised but that is a very short spell.

When you say 'prepared' and 'organized' what do you have in mind ButtHuber ? Is the only salvation for our planet to join you and your band of not so merry men ? = the World is doomed and we are the salvation ! I think that history has heard this type of narrative before.
Thank god for local councils introducing their own track and trace. How much has the 'world beating' one cost us so far? Talk about spaffing money up the wall! At least some Tory peer will have made a boat load of money!
In Berlin the Red-Red-Green Government disallowed a huge demonstration of the Mask-Opposition but allowed the Counterdemonstration. How absurd is that ? The Home Secretary is an Ex-SED member and allowed the violant BLM demonstrations in June but disallowed a peaceful demonstration this time - are you blind ?
