I know it’s too soon to suggest the government may be in the wrong and we are an exemplar to the world but thought this was a good article nonetheless.

That's a pretty damning article - I'm sure it will be branded as Guardian lefty piffle, followed with "now's not the time", "we can't compare ourselves to other countries", and "that's not the official figures" blah blah blah

Stephen Quinn?
If he was a Ginga he was a top man.

Just seen today’s figures. Even though we know these are an underestimate, both in terms of infections and deaths, they are still 2-3 times higher than Italy (ok their figures may also be low on reality) which is 15 days ahead of us in the epidemic and only now loosening restrictions. I have no idea what we are trying to achieve now.

Standard response but unfortunately we know the timeline of the events and the actions/lack of actions. Now we have redacted public information of the sage meetings ffs.

must be talking the best part of a decade ago. Sounds about right.

I wasn’t at the game if it was the one early in the promotion season but he was there at that time.

I remember losing heavily there not long after I passed my driving test. Drove all the way by myself and the plan was to meet up with a girl I met on holiday who lived somewhere up north but nowhere near Sheffield after. Booked a B&B over the phone on the way which was happy to just accept cash on arrival. She cancelled at half time. Drove home.
