I recommend having a read through some of the legislation that has been rushed in. If you’re bothered by it, sign and share. I can see things going down hill rapidly.

Not getting to gigs is killing me - thankfully they've all be rescheduled for the back end of the year, but who knows, they could moved again if this goes on for a while.

Live stream gigs don't really do it for me, poor sound and dodgy links. I'm not even a big fan of watching gigs on TV, you just don't get the feel of the atmosphere.

Jnrs band were supposed to be playing their biggest gig yet next week, which has obviously been canned, and he's gutted.

Agree you don’t get the atmosphere with most bands but some hit the mark.....
I rewatched a Prodigy gig the other day (from about ‘91) And I still found myself dancing around the front room to ‘Voodoo People’....much to my 13 year old daughters horror :)

Probably not for this thread but can you see some clubs going under ? (I guess it’s virus linked)
I think there is no doubt there will be repercussions from the effects of the close down for clubs ... especially down the leagues. Though I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few Championship clubs come out worse. Hopefully we have been lucky/prudent/well managed to come out of this better than most. I can’t see how the wider sport ‘business’ won’t be badly affected. The viral ‘fingers’ will be having a strangling impact far and wide for sure.

Was he given the theoretical option not to?

Further to your question, after speaking to a couple of mates (1 furloughed, 1 not) it seems there is possibly gonna be a draw every 3 weeks to choose the 70% of staff that are gonna be off.
If it’s gonna be done, on the face of it, seems a pretty fair way to do it.

Apparently the figures for March alone dragged the first quarter GDP estimate to -2.5%.

Economists (yeah I know, me neither) predicting a recession of ‘unprecedented’ depth.

More tangibly the near 1,000,000 universal benefit claims of the last couple of weeks have wiped out the growth in jobs for the last year. And these are just the ones that have been processed.

Just got an e-mail from my bank informing me their interest on savings accounts and ISAs has been cut from an enormously generous 0.1% to 0.01%. The only further step they have is to charge you for keeping it in their account. Watch this space...

Is there such a thing as negative interest?

So even more so worth taking the gamble on shares going up once this is over ?

Seriously??????

People across the UK are apparently burning cellphone masts and abusing engineers on the street over baseless conspiracy theories linking the coronavirus to 5G networks

https://www.msn.com/en-ie/news/worl...us-to-5g-networks/ar-BB129UYZ?ocid=spartanntp
5G is, last I knew, untested in its biological effects on humans, animal, insect life etc. Requires lots of trees to be felled to facilitate clear line of sight required for use. Has been criticised heavily by some health ministers of EU countries.

Woody do you know what?................... There is a method in your madness. I cannot knock or mock you on this because I have witnessed weird things of late. That bloke on the internet that discussed liberties only for it to be taken down? Bloody hell the amount of stuff on YouTube which is utter bollox manages to stay... yet an interesting thought-provoking thing gets taken down? All this crap about Google letting the government know where you are FFS! strange times we live in.

Who’d have thought you’d become my wing man!?

Reading through bits of that bill are quite frightening.

Your tin foil hat with highly sensitive antenna is in the post. You won’t believe some of the things that will become clear to you.
