Won't be a lockdown, that's a last resort, we aren't there yet,and they will give things chance to stabilise before they go there.Watching Westminster Live on Sky, saying schools set to close Friday, might not reopen until after summer holidays, they’re not talking like a lock down is about to start?
Devil is in the detail, for example people on Benefits should still have to pay there rents, as they don't pay it now, the benefits do, people should have to show how they lost income before it gets paid for them.Just trying to pull things to bits as usual
Government have said they will protect private renters form eviction
What does this mean
Does it mean that private renters will be protected from eviction but unpaid rent will be accumulated as a unpaid debt
As usual the devil is in the detail clarification needs to be made
Will come back when I want to pick holes in something else

What if your self employedDevil is in the detail, for example people on Benefits should still have to pay there rents, as they don't pay it now, the benefits do, people should have to show how they lost income before it gets paid for them.
Well if you're self employed, and had to close or stop your work, you can show you have no work. What if your self employed
Asking for a friendWell if you're self employed, and had to close or stop your work, you can show you have no work.
Checked this out and it appears it’s been found in GermanyChina has supposedly got an outbreak of Bird Flu now.... Hate trump or not, you've got to smile how he keeps calling it the Chinese Flu knowing it upsets them

Are you in any kind of job in which you could claim it is part of the supply chain? If so those families kids can still attend school if I heard it rightMay as well lock down. Not sure what I am supposed to do with my kid on Monday as both me and the wife have full time jobs. I could take it as unpaid leave but Bill's will still be waiting. I'm in N.Yorkshire, Skipton, and the virus hasn't reached us in the sticks yet (that we know of). Schools could easily carry on as the boys school still has full volume of staff.
I will probably have to try and work nights or something and try and home school the boy through the day. Sleeping will have to wait until the weekends! At least I won't miss any football! That's my best case scenario. This sucks ass!
Hopefully just for a few weeks.
But how are you Eric...I mean are you strong enough mentally to handle the rigours of forum life ?I'm sure you all want to know how we are doing in Oz. We have now got about 500 cases, mainly from people flying in with it, and six people have died. Tom Hanks and his wife have recovered from it on the Gold Coast. We have effectively closed the borders and anybody arriving has to go into 14 days self isolation but our schools are still open. Our barbies are coming under a bit of pressure as outdoor gatherings are limited to 500 and if you want to take it inside to get away from the mozzies then 400 of your mates have to go home. Local pub still open and toilet rolls still available at the IGA.
By the way the fires are out and we've had quite a bit of rain so the dams and rivers are getting full again. So apart from the obvious, no worries.

Thanks for asking Jammy, not a lot of people take the time to really ask how somebody is and out of that small percentage of people about 99% don't actually want to listen the answer. But how are you Eric...I mean are you strong enough mentally to handle the rigours of forum life ?
Just take it steady at first as we don't want you to overdo things and suffer a relapse.
Here's some cake by the way![]()

Sorry I tuned out halfway through reading that...Thanks for asking Jammy, not a lot of people take the time to really ask how somebody is and out of that small percentage of people about 99% don't actually want to listen the answer.
Thanks for the cake, my real one was a Black Forest gâteau, but I guess you aren't allowed those anymore
