The UK is responsible for 1% CO2 Emissions. Its population is 68.4 million
So my bit is 1% divided by 68.4 million
Can I make a difference?
No
Doesn't mean I shouldn't try but I also have a sense of perspective.

That figure is just for direct CO2 emissions, it doesn't include all the flights we take, or all the goods we import etc.

We're the third biggest aviation polluting nation, after the USA and China and one of the largest importers of goods from the Far East.

We can make a difference (albeit a relatively small one).

i wouldn’t say she is uneducated as she speaks bloody good English. I’m not a fan of urban warriors/activists
but at least she has the younger generation interested even if she if she is front of shop for others to script. Sometimes for some reason people get shoved in the front as a mouthpiece and get stuck there. I think this may be the case of well I can’t get off the train now.

She herself says she's uneducated, partly due to her condition and partly due to her lack of school attendance. Her words confirm this.

Every one of the 20,000 delegates had to be security vetted, there's 10,000 police on duty in Glasgow every day for twelve days and they're not all in the same hotels, Biden's not even staying in Glasgow due to security concerns.

There's over 100,000 flights a day worldwide, 400 planes bringing people to a two week conference aimed at tackling world climate change is neither here nor there, it's a complete red herring.

its not a red herring - it’s about leadership & setting the right example

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos announces a $2 billion pledge allocated directly to restoring nature, as part of a $10 billion commitment to tackle climate change.
It's a good start but he can obviously afford to pledge a lot more.

It's considerably less than Amazon's weekly profit.

Be interesting to see how it compared to a regular croissant

Interesting little snip from the BBC coverage this morning…

The office of the US president is not permitted to take a commercial flight (any plane he gets on becomes Air Force One and nobody but his staff is permitted on it), the same applies many other world leaders, it's a complete red herring.
Boris could definitely have travelled by train though.

Yeah I understand she said that too. She’s clearly a bit more than that. I would rather listen to experts to be honest.
