I look around my house and compare it to ten years ago and I have maybe 3 times as many electrical devices in the house.I have no idea but I presume the factories

I would assume everyone may be similar so I guess that’s a concern.

Indeed that’s where I was going towards really.I agree but where are they all made?
I'd guess coal powered power stations are up there.
Is there still a vast amount of them now. Honest question again.I'd guess coal powered power stations are up there.

We maybe don’t have them in the uk now but China and the like maybe do.
Australia has a large reliance on fossil fuels ie coal as it has a large coal industry which supports a lot of jobs. Australian politicians are too busy looking short term and don’t want to take on the potentially unpopular task of moving away from coal usage.Ok I’ve had a bit of a joke in my last two messages so now for some really ****.
@Darren Peacock's Ponytail is correct China and America are the ones who make this work or not in reality.
The ratio you stated above per person is a damning statistic but when you factor in population then it maybe is irrelevant.
When you look at the graph you posted it does look like America is pulling its weight but I am surprised at Australia given they have the sun which could generate the energy they need.
It makes me wonder how on Earth they are the highest polluters when they don’t have a large population?

It’s quite scary when you think about it.The burning of fossil fuels.

My understanding is that it is. But it needs action and brave politicians. I doubt whether the World’s politicians are brave enough or far sighted enough to take the action needed. It’s quite scary when you think about it.

On a very simple level think of all the extreme weather incidents that have been reported in say the last 12 months alone. It’s not a coincidence, it’s a consequence.

Spot on mate your quite right. The problem is that for most politicians (especially in populist governments) that making big changes is political suicide. Therefore the soundbites will be uttered and in the background the donors in the traditionally big money businesses that focus on profit over all else will continue to do what they've done for decades. Only when action on climate change becomes more of a vote winner than policies that sound good but don't have substance or backing will action be taken by governments.

There are lies, damn lies and statistics...But I can’t get my head around the agriculture side. Unless of course it extends to the post animal/crop production stage.

My industry (agriculture) is being made the scapegoat here and there is **** all I can do about it!
I could go into detail and bore you with facts and figures as to how agriculture is a big carbon sequester but it's not very interesting and I can't be arsed to be honest!
