I was on a ferry over to Jersey just as covid was starting kicking off, and I overheard two of the stewards talking. One was telling the other "you know what causes this don't you? It's 5G. Where did covid start? China. Where are they installing loads of 5G? China. We're putting up 5G masts, and so we're getting it here too. It's so simple."

I nearly laughed out loud, and had to text a mate to say what I heard, which I finished with "this is one conspiracy theory that is never going to take off, surely people aren't that stupid?" Seems I was wrong, and some people are.

People were going ****ing mad over it! The entire world was in on faking covid just to install some 5g while we were all locked indoors! Cause 5g fried our brains but **** it the government's wanted a bit faster mobile networking ffs!

The other one bill Gates microchipoing us all so he knows what I buy and when I have a ****!

There is no proof that Abe Lincoln ever said, “You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.” But this doesn't alter the obvious truth of it.

Politicians, down the ages, have been great followers of it, sometimes even using it to confuse their enemies. ( Think Cats Eyes Cunningham in WW2).

Conjurers are the greatest exponents of the art as they Entertain us, (and irritate us at the same time because we are unable to work out how they do it.)

Until recently it was left to the local gossips to mislead us with tales that were less than wholly truthful.

But everything changed with SOCIAL MEDIA.

Anybody who wants to can propagate any tale they want.
It doesn't have to be true, and they don't have to prove a thing.
But, or so it seems, there are enough gullible souls, out there to take any gibberish that appears on a screen, as being TRUE.
(I almost said Gospel Truth, but that would open up yet another can of worms:emoticon-0102-bigsm)

I understand that Fox News, in The USofA have recently lost a Court Case and had to pay around Three Quarters of a BILLION US$ comp to the makers of Vote Counting Machines for pushing Trumps claim that he won but the machines were faulty, even when The News Company knew that this was false,
Trump and some of his supporters are STILL Claiming he won, despite all the evidence to the contrary.

And I'll close with another quote, this one ATTRIBUTED to Phineas T Barnum.
THERES A SUCKER BORN EVERY MINUTE.

Lad at work has a relation in Gateshead who was openly critical on social media and truly believed that 5G was a way to control the masses, absolute lunatic.

This is always trotted out and it's ridiculous.

The masses just want to have a quiet decent life, bring up a family and enjoy the rewards of their hard work.

They don't want to be out on the streets, lighting bonfires and smashing the place up ... let alone storming Parliament of assassinating the Royals.

And, let's be honest, most governments can't even control their own MPs, never mind the masses if they wanted to <laugh>

It's hilarious whenever the BBC is ridiculed as biased by both opposing sides ...

... then you're told to ignore the biased BBC and 'do your research'.

That research inevitably leads you to some totally biased nutcase who never leaves his house <doh>

Bit late to this thread, but other ones you see is a scientist (PhD) been quoted for something they've said as an expert about climate change (for example), but if you look closely then you find their PhD is in psychology

It's like when Boris Johnson puts on a lab coat and protective glasses then ponces around like he's a scientist <laugh>

So many “ huge” “news” headlines based only on the individual opinion of unknown “ experts” , politicians or “ex” this or that,

Right.

Mostly because journalists are now minted at universities, most of them coming out with pre stamped views, rather than growing into their work as once happened. And of course, the chase for clicks by headline and simplistic story.
