Can't really blame Bonko and his chums for not bothering to come up with plausible excuses for themselves. No matter how many strains of the virus are allowed to enter the country, no matter how many taxpayer funded sleazy contracts are awarded to their friends and family, no matter how many of them break the rules they themselves devised, no matter how many lies and outlandish excuses they fabricate, they know that their supporters will mitigate them with "Well it would have been worse under Jeremy Corbyn".
Nothing much changes around here, eh?

It seems the same people, are the only people, still talking about Jeremy Corbyn while weirdly trying to convince themselves that it's other people talking about Jeremy Corbyn.

Aye it sounds a bit wacky to say that logically there has to be aliens but if space truly is infinite I don't see how it can be any other way. If it's not...I think it'd blow my mind trying to comprehend it.

Tbh even if space was just quite large I'd believe there was life on other planets. I think there's evidence there was water on Mars which means the possibility of life and that's right on our doorstep.
I don’t understand why we have to believe everything in the universe needs water, only our life form needs water.

I see certain commentators and news outlets are calling for a 'COVID Amnesty' in the US.
In short, they want everyone who had their careers and lives ruined by the mob to forget all about it now that a lot of their findings have subsequently been proved absolutely right.
I'm not talking about the anti-vax nutters btw - they deserve everything they get. Crackpots. I'm talking about actual scientists and researchers whose work could have saved lives if they'd been listened to and not cancelled.

It's a strange conversation and debate in the way it is framed to be honest, as all of the arguments come across as if there's a conclusive outcome on what the best way to handle the situation was.

Do we judge it off lives saved immediately, lives lost longer term from medical backlogs, economic fallout, rises in mental health issues?

Most countries will have got thousands of decisions right and another thousand wrong.

I read a fantastic book called The Premonition by Michael Lewis, where he told the story of the foremost experts in pandemics in America who were advocating earlier lockdowns of everything than practically everyone in the world. The idea that by being strict, they could identify and isolate individuals to stop the pandemic before it even started. Of course, they were talking purely from a pandemic perspective and completely ignoring all other factors.

But the reality is, we'll never know what the perfect response was because we can't see the alternative play out.

Everyone knows the earth is flat, so obviously nobody has ever been on the moon..

Scientific fact

... appear increasingly popular.

Whichever news story is reported it seems there's always people saying they know 'the truth' and that anyone who believes the media is a gullible fool toeing the government line. Any questions to 'those in the know' are met with the inevitable response of, "You need to do some digging as I've done."

On the few occasions I've taken their advice it's lead me to some nut job who's finding 'the truth' on the internet from other nut jobs. Either that or they're some 'scientist' who's statements have been taken entirely out of context.

For the conspiracy theorists there doesn't seem to be anything that isn't actually the government colluding to 'control' the hoi poloi. By the look of most of them they don't seem capable of organising a decent haircut never mind deceiving the entire population.

Why do people want to believe everything has a hidden agenda, do they believe it makes them superior to the dummies who look at the news, shrug, turn over and get on with their lives ...

... I've no idea, perhaps I'm part of the problem.

It's 'tinternet. All sorts of ****e portrayed as The Holy Writ.

It's hilarious whenever the BBC is ridiculed as biased by both opposing sides ...

... then you're told to ignore the biased BBC and 'do your research'.

That research inevitably leads you to some totally biased nutcase who never leaves his house <doh>

It's funny that whenever anybody questions anything they are suddenly jumped on as nut job conspiracy theorists FFS

The BBC lol, oh of course, that wholesome peado establishment. <doh>

Of course news outlets tell the whole truth. The same ones that reported the vaccine stopped you catching covid and stopped you transmitting it. Of course it didn't.
But pharma made billions whilst the poor got poorer.

Is the earth flat or round ? Well actually its an ellipsoid :emoticon-0148-yes: <laugh>

So between all the chaff and looney shìte there are serious questions that get smothered.

It wasn't long ago that Claus Schwab, the WEF and the great reset were frowned upon as conspiracy.

Not so now , in fact rishi sunack the puppet prime minister with a wealth of 700 plus million and a billionaire wife, his father in law Narayan Murthy is a billionaire member.

Here's an example.
Funny isn't it, those that opposed smart meters were considered nut jobs, oooh i want a nice shiny smart meter, it's good for the environment.

Is it ? How ? The cost of replacing all those meters, all that manufacturing and scrapage of old meters.
For something to do the same job <laugh>

Oh no, wait, on the old meters, a sudden massive hike in prices could of lead to a revolt with people refusing to pay.
And they couldn't do a thing about it.
Majority have smart meters.
Prices soar.
Don't pay, they turn your supply off remotely as they don't need access :emoticon-0148-yes:

By the way, these rich 2% billionaires of the WEF own the media .

Welcome to the new world order , i mean the WEF <laugh>

If you don't ask questions you don't get answers.

Boom. Sheeple calling out those that questioned the vaccine as idiots lol

Touché <laugh>
