Thoroughly deserved, and scoffs at those previous incumbents as to why he didn't play more regularly

He's in such an awkward position, with him and Greaves vying for the same position. For all he's great, I could realistically see a scenario where he starts next season on the bench again, if Greaves stays this summer and we sign a new left back as expected. I know Macca's more en vogue than Greaves nowadays, but I'm not sure that'll be a view shared by the management, and whilst many will say we should be able to accommodate two left-footers, the reality is coaches tend not to want to do that.

I still reckon bids will come in for Greaves. He gets a weird amount of criticism from City fans but he's still very good and young.

I agree with this and I am still of the view personally that Greaves is and will be the better of the two if it came down to it.

Agree
Hes 22 but with a fair amount of games already
And this season he's shown he can be a threat in the attacking box

Lots of time to get even better too

Me personally I think for Greaves to go to the next level he needs to up his physicality, he is often found struggling against stronger forwards, hence why he spends a hell of a lot of time trying to tug their shirts off their backs, for his size he does struggle to contain them.

City fans always criticise him for shirt-pulling, but it isn't really an issue in practice, for me. He's not conceding goals or penalties from being overly hands on, and he always seems to be at the top of the defensive stats for duels etc. It's just the way the modern game is. You can be soft and get bullied or you can be the dominant one.
