Feel like im going to keep repeating myself, but I don't see the value in saying Still out ... do any of you realistically think our overlords will appoint someone better? Especially given they've repeatedly failed at this.

Agreed. It's pointless. He's the latest in a long line of ever worsening ****. The next one will be the same.

**** SR and **** Spors. Charlatans

I'd hate to see what a Saintsweb politics thread would be like..<yikes>

Yes as opposed to here where I was banned from the politics thread for pointing out that Islamic extremism id a growing issue.

and lo and behold, not even 6 months later an Islamist extremist called Jihad, who was on bail for rape, murders innocent worshippers.

It’s honestly painful being correct all the time and constantly being insulted and having to listen to people like loadings narcissism.

Luckily I’ll only post about football now though as I’m still banned

There is a possessive apostrophe in Loading’s narcissism.

The name 'Jihad' means 'to strive' or 'to struggle'. They're not naming their children 'holy war'.

It's like 'Victor'/'Victoria'. Just nice names; parents aren't literally calling their children, 'winners'. The guy you're referring to, was born before the first Gulf War.

People complaining about Spors’ recruitment (because people are focussing on Downs) - I keep looking at players like Wirtz, Frimpong and Kerkez. There’s no doubt they are brilliant players, and cost about the same alone as most Championship squads. But even a team like Liverpool, who just breezed a title and don’t have the ingrained lose every week thing, can’t quite work out how to best use them yet. They’ve all looked pretty awful. We still need to be giving the likes of Azaz etc time (and Still). Getting that chemistry right is so hard. That’s just a reality, even for the very best.

I think you kind of stumble into it as players get used to things, hence why you get a lot of team changes after there’s been a reboot like we’ve had. Of course it can’t go on forever, but only Downs looks like a definite “not yet” of the new signings, and the rest of them either have proven pedigree in the league (as per Kerkez etc) or have shown that they have quality in them. We just haven’t quite got the chemistry correct yet.

Personally neutral on Still at the moment. I liked the progress we seemed to be making in the last few games, and while today was arguably a backwards step (albeit a small one), for me it really looked like too many of the team were struggling with fatigue. I think we'll be back to our improving version after the break. That said, Still needs to take this as a lesson. Football in this league is gruelling, particularly if you are demanding the players to play a pressing game. Even Adarma looked tired at times today, and he's a Duracell bunny. We have the depth to rotate, and to make quality subs, so we should have managed today better.

Yeah, if we don't continue to show progress after another 4 games i'll be just starting to ask questions but i've already seen enough to be fairly confident that we will.
I'd rather we switched to a back four but that is my personal preference.

Yes, would agree with that.

I'm 99% sure Still wants that too and has only switched back to this formation because our worst performances so far this season have been when he's set us up with a back four. I assume he'll try to switch it again at some point.
