Very true- but you must know by now that common parlance and I have little in the way of intercourse. :)
I throw things at my TV when people misuse words like that on it.
My laptop almost went out of the window on Saturday when Michael Owen said "laxadaisical"- a word which doesn't actually exist.
I reasoned that, like guns, computers can't be held responsible for the abuse put to them by people so I let it off.

References dave Gorman now, but if the vast majority of people take a word to mean one thing, does that not mean that the definition of that word has actually changed? Words and definitions change throughout time.
