Here is the start of this season's table.
Rather than overwrite each weeks' table I may just put a new one in with each result, if that is preferred. Let me know.
I also thought about putting each promoted/relegated team separately but that would have removed the season by season comparison. See alternative form. Let me know which you would prefer.
Can the mods let me know if I am allowed to put the dates of the fixtures in? I can remove them easily enough.

Alternative form. In this version the letters in the results section refer to the letters in the first column indicating the team in question. Newcastle got relegated and promoted the following season. In the Newcastle row the result for 15/16 refers to the match against Newcastle. The letter refers to Villa who were replaced by Hull in 16/17, who were then replaced by Newcastle in 17/18. In 16/17 Newcastle were replaced by Burnley.

After a quick look, NZ, I like both! Sorry, that’s not helpful, is it? I think you match teams very well, so the first one is interesting when thinking about what we need from where and also when projecting forward. The second one’s strength is seeing returners like Newcastle comparisons, and how we compared against those who were to be relegated (in easier view).
The bottom positions of relegated teams is sobering, too. It’s a swamp that bottom three. Thankfully, we’ve managed to stay away from it most of the time, but it’s still an interesting guide.

Bloody hell, Andy! I'll keep doing it, then. I don't know how to respond to praise like that.

The problem with the second version is that I can't get 38 games in. I draw the table in Excel then convert it to a pdf file. I then use the adobe "take a snapshot" function which i paste into this thread. The 'take a snapshot function" only works for one page, though. The additional lines needed for the extra teams splits the table onto a second page.

If someone can tell me how to get round this problem I will be very pleased.

I can not see why dates are a problem NZ. You are not reproducing a copyright fixture list, but using information to show something rather different. I would not worry seeing as they will be the wrong dates after the TV schedules and European games move them about.
Sorry I can't help on posting the tables, beyond my skills.

Nice one, NZ. Just shows that these were very useful points to pick up. I think the 4-4-2 with flooding the box when we can, is working well for us. Teams seem to be pressing high up this season, too. Brighton did well against Utd today with that ‘hunt in packs’ method, so maybe it was good to get them first game, before they’d tightened that up.
We can see from above how those 3pts at Burnley are not expected. I was also interested in the overall league positions, across the seasons, and how they have improved each year. There is progression. :)
 
This is getting silly. One more win (next game would be good) and the EPL will have to find a reason to dock us some points. Cannot have their precious golden egg laying ducks below some upstart.

KC we are 4th on 12 points after 5 games
Interestingly Snake Eyes achieved more with lowly Watford and no big signings than he has with the Mighty Everton and £100m to spend after 5 games
We must be even better than we think we are

Despite the loss this is still our best start in the Premier league according to both measures - results against teams played and number of matches played. Hopefully our next three games against Bournemouth, Wolves and Huddersfield will produce better results than our last three, but only one win from three will still be our best start according to both measures.
In the previous three seasons at least one of the relegated teams has been in the bottom 3 at this stage.
