Cardiff City are set to sign Derby midfielder Craig Bryson on a season-long loan and Blackburn midfielder Liam Feeney on loan until January.

Bryson, 30, has made 244 appearances for Derby since joining from Kilmarnock in 2011.

But this season he has been restricted to four Championship appearances from the bench and one EFL Cup start.

Feeney, 30, joined League One side Blackburn in 2016 following spells with the likes of Bournemouth and Millwall.

Meanwhile, Cardiff winger Matthew Kennedy has joined Portsmouth on a season-long loan.

 

Bryson signing confirmed by City. There's our central midfield cover. I seem to recall we were keen on him a couple of years ago. But nothing yet on Feeney. Might be a bit late now.

 

WoL says Feeney signed in loan until January to give cover for the injured Harris and Patterson. Nothing from City yet.

Bryson appears to be a good signing; NW says he's been high on his list for a while.

Unsure about Feeney. Said to be wing cover but he let the promising Kennedy go.

Plus we've still got Fred and Pilkington

All in all a very decent window especially as we kept Zahore

 

Only just seen this this morning - out last night. Craig Bryson is a bloody brilliant signing!!

I've been banging on about him for a couple of years for our midfield general - couldn't be happier with that!

Bryson is a great signing, but where does he fit in? Cover or starting?

 

Given the games come thick and fast I can see Warnock rotating 3 from 4 so he keeps players fresh. Also on occasion changing formation and using tomlin.

Far more ballance to the squad but more numbers than the 21 - 22 Warnock was talking about.

Good work by Colin and his backroom staff.

Sorry Dai I have to disagree. It hasn't been a decent window. It's been unbelievable !

Warnock has transformed our squad for a pittance. As Sparks says Bryson feels like a very clever bit of business.
Damour, NML, Hoilett, Bamba are top quality championship players. Patterson, Bryson, Feeney, Ward, all definitely make us a stronger squad.

We've still got Zohore , if he stays fit we'll be very close to automatic.

 

Perhaps we will pay up Gonzo's contract to get him off the books. Wouldn't cost much.

Pilks probably too expensive.

 

Would have liked to see a Pilks loan move yesterday, can see him moving on in January.
